#EduColor A motivated group of students is encouraging diversity and inclusion in our math/science curriculum. Any math/science teachers that would be willing to share their diversity/inclusion story? Opportunities? Hurdles? Students discussing potential next steps.

Proud of the students of @Salesianum, @Padua_Academy, and @UAwilmington for the difference they make in our community. This year’s #SALSTHON raised $169,378 for Limen House, standing in support of local men and women as they battle addiction on the road to recovery.

We've been honored to work with Limen House and alumni who have shared their stories of recovery. Let us keep in our prayers those in recovery, those who have not yet realized the power of addiction in their lives, and the families impacted by the disease. vimeo.com/328731698

Pictured: our 2016 candidate board, where classes tracked the candidates for president. In 2016, I needed far more red than blue paper. Time to start assembling the 2020 candidate board...where *did* I put all that blue paper...?
One more candidate (@JebBush) drops out; one more bulletin board sign to flip...
At start of @Salesianum #apgov course, waaaay back in Sept., students embraced challenge of reading Madison's Fed. 51. Tomorrow, so close to the end!, my senior students will read Fed. 10. Excited to see how they've grown as critical thinkers across our year.

A big thank you to @RossCoops31 for sharing his insight on #hackingpbl today, as part of #salspd . Loved his emphasis on improving practice by dedicating time to unit design and the historical roots of good design.
An important look at the 14th Amendment. I am grateful for the author using the 14th Amendment as a piece of a much grander arc— civil rights, citizenship, voting. mobile.nytimes.com/2018/07/0…

AP US Government & Politics students have achieved higher free-response scores than any other AP subject so far this year – superb performance across Q1-3. Q4, on public policy, was the only area of slightly weak performance on this year’s exam. spr.ly/6011Dl96t

The 2018 AP US Government & Politics scores: 5: 13.4%; 4: 13.3%; 3: 26.5%; 2: 24.5%; 1: 22.3%. Kudos to these students and their teachers, as these are the highest scores in many years. (By way of comparison, just a few years ago, the percentage of 5s was 9.8%.)
