If you play D1 you’re a stud. If you play D2 you’re a stud. If you play D3 you’re a stud. If you play NAIA you’re a stud. If you play at a JUCO you’re a stud. ONLY 7% OF HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES become college athletes, it doesn’t matter what level you’re at. Be proud, BE GRATEFUL!!

Coaches: don’t let your punishments or discipline actively HURT your team’s performance in the process.
PSA: Running your athletes to death for punishment isn’t going to magically make them better free throw shooters, passers, ball carriers, or wrap up tacklers. Signed, Common Sense

Love it. Don’t put limits on yourself. Listen to your body — and if you like bench press then bench press! Learn how to do it perfectly and get after it!

Isolated muscle strength *IS* functional strength! They should never be the focus of your workout...but don’t be afraid to bust out some bro lifts to end your workout or as supersets. It’s tough to put on mass without ISO’s and adding muscle mass is hugely protective.

Often times athletes will avoid training overhead in order to protect against injury. However, I believe they’re doing just the opposite. The nature of the sport requires you to be strong and stable overhead. By neglecting to train overhead you’re putting your arm at extreme risk

More great stuff from Josh Reidt...what a great follow. #Balance #Core #Strength #MindBodyAwareness
The RDL Landmine Row is perfect for ankle, hip & core stability w/ the added strength benefit of a traditional row !! The glute/hip recruitment also helps pitchers/hitters who tend to drift into their front sides 💡 @jaegersports @hunter_bigge @corbin_carroll @TheCanesBB

The competition is never in the other dugout, it’s between you and you in your own head. Clarity vs Clutter Simple vs Complex Trusting vs Thinking Present vs Past/Future Controllable vs Uncontrollable Opportunity vs Threat Win these battles and the scoreboard will work out.

Just because you do something often doesn’t mean you’re getting better at it. I drive every day, but I’m not much better now than I was 10 years ago. I cook every day, but I’m not getting any closer to being a gourmet chef. “Showing up” isn’t enough if you want to get better.

"Cookie cutters are for cookies" -- Trevor Bauer If someone tries to put u on a "Throwing Program" that IMPOSES a Pre-Determined: 1) Time limit 2) Distance limit 3) Volume limit 4) Arc limit BEWARE. This is how your arm gets "PROGRAMMED", rather than LIBERATED. @BauerOutage

Pitchers: When you get to college... Are you going to be a robust, well-built athlete with a strong foundation ready to play right away? Or are you going to have to waste an entire year developing those things once you get to campus? Don’t wait. Put in the work today.

Development is pretty simple: Do more. Not gaining weight? Eat more. Trouble putting on mass? Lift more. Trouble gaining velo? Throw more. Not getting feel for new pitches? Spend more time on the mound. Trouble learning something new? Study more.
If you track your athlete’s progress daily, you don’t need test/max days. We allow the daily data to show us the progress we’re making.
