From neurons to materials, researchers are exploring new ways to rethink computing. Dr. Perla Balbuena and Dr. Alejandro Aviles Sanchez are studying how electrons and ions move through metal-organic frameworks, uncovering a microscopic mechanism that could help researchers design materials with the adaptive electrical behavior needed for next-generation neuromorphic technologies. 🔗 tx.ag/MOFResearch

For John Hayes, finding his place in space research meant changing course. Now a @NASA fellow, Hayes studies how disorientation in changing gravity can affect astronauts’ ability to pilot and dock spacecraft, using VR and vestibular stimulation to recreate those effects on Earth. 🧑‍🚀 From pre-med to aerospace research, his path wasn’t a straight line, but each turn helped shape the researcher he is today. 🔗 tx.ag/JohnHayes
