GOALS 2026 was not just a firearms showcase. It was a community building event put on by Gun Owners of America where Americans were able to connect with organizations that had their best interests in mind. Chappy was invited as a guest speaker to discuss how we can rebuild trust between law enforcement and the 2nd Amendment community as a whole. This was just one part of his excellent presentation: Law enforcement officers are not privates. The badge does not mean “follow orders without question.” It means exercising judgment, understanding the law, and being willing to recognize when policy conflicts with constitutional responsibility.
