Middle schooler Travis Daventhorpe may be a genius, but he's always struggled to make friends. Can he save the multiverse and forge friendships?

Listening to a book counts as reading it because it is a book. 👇
Books are a product of print culture, not oral culture. A written text that is read or listened to is still a written text which uses language differently from language produced by oral speech. Think of conversation or even podcasts. No one says they “read” a podcast they listened to because a recorded informal conversation is not the same kind of text as book or poem that is crafted by first putting words on a page or slate or screen. Now, listening with the ears is certainly different from reading with the eyes, but a book is still a book—a product of print culture. How we experience language is secondary (though still significant) to the form that language takes. You can read a Shakespearean drama in a book or listen to it being read on Audible, and those two experiences are much more similar than watching the play being performed. Listening to a reader read is reading. That’s why we read to children.

Sure, my name is on the list of artists that the midjourney AI stole from. But will it hate my art the moment it's done making it like I do?

It's 2024 and my new book comes out March 5th. I hope you like tweets about pre-ordering. Because I'm going to talk a LOT about pre-ordering. It REALLY helps if you pre-order the book.

2024 is going to be a pretty full year. Don't worry about NY Resolutions. It'll be enough to just survive and maintain good mental health. Don't sweat the small stuff. This isn't the year you gotta get all your shit figured out.

The second web comic powered by @webstrips is up! Lore Investigations is a short story I wrote with a friend of mine back in 2009. I think this might be the first time it's been on the web in its entirety. Enjoy! loreinvestigations.com
