I enjoy the way the teams celebrate home runs (though not when the HR is meaningless in an elimination game) but it’s funny to hold up the team that built a slide in their ballpark for the mascot to go down after HRs as the beacon of maturity.

If I had a nickel for every time a baseball hit a roof and then bounced down into a glove for an out in a 2026 Division Series Postseason game, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's crazy it happened twice.
In the past, getting embarrassed by NY this way would lead to a big offseason for the Sox. No faith that will happen this winter.
