It is not looking good, praying for those on the line of Cyclone Arnab. Lets hope for very less life, material, and natural damage. Stay safe.
Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Arnab is currently making landfall over Coastal AP and is likely to complete landfall in the next few hours. The centre is right along the coastline near Yanam. The cyclone is likely to retain its intensity for the next 9 to 12 hours due to the movement along the coastline rather than a westward movement which may have eroded the core as it moves inland. Coastal AP is likely to see respite from winds only later today evening / night. Until then large areas may come under wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h between Machilipatnam and Vishakhapatnam. Meanwhile dry weather will continue over most of Tamil Nadu.

I had covered most of the river basin and hills in Tamil Nadu through my tweets. To search for a particular river, i.e. for Amaravati river, in your twitter search, type Amaravati OR Amaravathi(from:tngeography)

Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Arnab expected to make landfall near Kakinada close to Godavari mouth in the Coringa Mangrove forest. These Mangroves are coastal shields, they limit the storm surge, reduce the impact of the cyclone. We need to protect our Mangroves
