As Toronto’s municipal election formally concludes, the Toronto Police Association also extends its congratulations to all newly elected and returning members of City Council.
Our dedicated uniform and civilian members understand what it means to step up and serve Toronto’s communities without hesitation.
As Council pursues its vision for a stronger city, we look forward to bringing frontline voices and experiences to the table to help ensure public safety remains a top priority.
The Toronto Police Association would like to congratulate Councillor @shelleycarroll on her re-election in Ward 17, Don Valley North.
We are eager to continue our collaborative efforts to improve policing in Toronto, and we thank you for your ongoing commitment to our members and public safety.
Your support has never wavered, and as a passionate advocate for the frontline and Toronto’s neighbourhoods, we hope you continue to serve as Chair of the Toronto Police Service Board.
The Toronto Police Association congratulates Mayor @oliviachow on her successful re-election as Mayor of Toronto.
Maintaining strong partnerships with all levels of government remains a key priority for our Association, and the Mayor's Office serves as one of our most important municipal partners.
We look forward to continuing our positive working relationship with Mayor Chow and building on the shared progress achieved over the past two years.
By advancing public safety priorities and continuing to invest in policing, we can build a safer, stronger Toronto for our communities and the members who serve them.
Our city deserves nothing less.
Since October 13, we have been following the Inquest into the death of Regis Korchinski Paquet.
Yesterday, false claims were made against our members. We will not stand by and let their reputations, and the reputation of an entire profession, be tarnished by those seeking to rewrite history.
The claims made by Ms. Beals are not supported, in fact are contradicted, by the evidence. Over the next few days, counsel for our members and for the Toronto Police Association will vociferously cross examine Ms. Beals to ensure the truth is accurately reflected on the record.
To be clear, our members are not responsible for the death of Regis Korchinski Paquet.
Their actions have been reviewed multiple times by independent police oversight agencies, including the SIU, and they have consistently been cleared of any wrongdoing.
These facts must stand.
Earlier today, the TPA presented to the Leading Advocacy Executives Council on how we advocate for issues that matter most to our members and effectively communicate their needs.
We’re proud to share our insight and experiences with non-police audiences, while using this opportunity to explore new strategies to use in the future.
Thank you for the invitation!

Welcome news! President @TPACampbell worked at 55 Division when it was misguidedly amalgamated with 54 Division. A decision made simply to save money during the years of austerity, resulting in poorer community service and forcing our members to work in dilapidated conditions. They and the Beaches-East York residents deserve better. Glad to see this investment in policing and public safety!
The numbers speak for themselves. 📈
Day after day, our dedicated members step up to serve our city and keep everyone safe. We're proud to see their efforts reflected with strong trust and support.
As they continue to have Toronto's back, we'll always have theirs. #TPAProud
Undeniable heroics.
The SIU report confirms the extraordinary actions of our ETF members on June 11, 2026, who put themselves in harm's way to protect their team and the community, even as they lost one of their own.
Hear President @TPACampbell address the report on @am640 with @gregbradyx.
Remembering Detective Sergeant James Priest, who lost his life in the line of duty on October 13, 1952, after a heart attack. Sadly missed and never forgotten.

This Thanksgiving weekend, we are reflecting on all we have to be grateful for. 🦃💙
In a year marked by sacrifice and loss, we are reminded that the work of our nearly 9,000 members is not without risk. Your commitment to protecting others and keeping our communities safe often comes at a great personal cost.
Thank you to every member who steps up without hesitation, day after day, to serve Toronto. We are especially grateful to those working through the holiday, away from their families and loved ones. Your dedication never goes unnoticed.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we're recognizing those with lived experience navigating mental health challenges.
Meaningful change begins with listening and continues through action. By hearing, learning from, and understanding others' experiences, we can build stronger support for those who need it most.
The TPA is always prepared to step up for any member. Check in with yourself and those around you. Sometimes, a simple conversation can make all the difference.
Visiting our members is the best way we can stay up to date on what's impacting their work, their wellness, and their families.
This week, we visited @TPS32Div and @TPS33Div and discussed Project Resolute, the municipal election, recruitment and retention, and response times.
Our members do their best to serve Toronto's communities with pride and professionalism.
We are proud to represent them, and we will always have their back.

Last but certainly not least.
Hear how it all started for President @TPACampbell, whose passion for representing more than 8,000 members drives his work every day.
We were pleased to join @CACP_ACCP and the Canadian Police Association in sending this letter to Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, asking Minister Gary Anandasangaree and Minister Sean Fraser to work with their provincial counterparts and police representatives on solutions that better protect our members.
This letter echoes the recommendations that have already been sent by us, and Premier Doug Ford.
We are now three weeks into the fall legislative session. The police community across Canada deserves to know when we will see action.
Please see the full letter below.

Together, we will keep pushing the federal government to make the necessary changes to the parole system.

@TPACampbell and I had the pleasure of visiting the latest recruit class to share how and, most importantly, why the TPA supports our members. Looking forward to supporting them throughout their careers. #TPAProud
The TPA would like to extend a special thank you to Travaza and the Oakville Blades for their recent gesture to honour PC Marc Pinizzotto.
Not only did they help transport our members to the Canadian Police and Peace Officers' Memorial in Ottawa, but they also added Badge #10049 on the bus to mark his line-of-duty death.
Pinizzotto, a former Blades player, was later added to the memorial wall. One of the many heartwarming gestures we've seen since Marc's murder.
