Only today did I take my Dakar 2021 wristband off! 😰

Lots asking: Very cold in morning about 4 degrees - wearing warm oversuit and hand muffs. Cold gear handed in at SS start and returned to Bivouac by ASO. Then about 38 degrees in desert midday. Not easy eh?

Sitting on the road in Sakaka - first bike starts from Bivouac at 4:35am - that means they wud be up at about 3am to get kitted up and body fuel ie Breakfast. This is hard eh! This ain’t no enduro that’s for sure. Many racers looking weary. One or two looking fresh as daisies! 😎

Marathon Stage Dakar Rally is up for grabs. Toby Price holds the lead but with a margin of only 18 seconds over Ricky Brabec - and Xavier de Soultrain, who's in the same team as Knighter is only 1.36mins from the lead. It's bloody amazing!
