I just don’t get how you can be so inconsistent from one week to another.
This is what gets coaches fired. And it should.
Coy Cavalier's 43-yard TD run extends Amarillo's lead to 63-0, 4:45 to play. @HubCityPrepsLBK
End 3Q: Amarillo 56, Lubbock High 0. Westerners will have 1st and 10 at the Sandies 46 to start the final quarter. @HubCityPrepsLBK
When it rains it pours. LHS stops an Amarillo drive with an Isreal Cervantes INT in the end zone. He returns it to the 19 and fumbles, Amarillo recovers, and on the next play Coy Cavalier goes 19 yards for the TD. 56-0 Amarillo, 2:33 3Q. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Ready for the second half between Amarillo and Lubbock High. 49-0 Sandies, who take the ball to start the 3Q. I would suspect we see a running clock in the second half. @HubCityPrepsLBK
HALFTIME: Amarillo 49, Lubbock High 9. We knew the Westerners' chances were slim coming into this game, but Amarillo has thoroughly dominated this half.
On a cold, misty night, you find out who wants to tackle. Nobody wanted to tackle Raider Payne, who breaks several of them to go 31 yards for the score to make it 49-0 Amarillo, 1:25 til halftime. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Even when LHS does it right it goes wrong. One play after forcing an Amarillo fumble at the Sandies 23, Creed Cavalier returns an interception 84 yards for a TD. 42-0 Sandies, 3:54 til halftime. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Officially reached blowout status ... and still only midway thorugh the 2Q. 35-0 Amarillo on a 21-yard TD catch by Noah Flores. 7:00 til halftime. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Lubbock High just outmatched here as Amarillo scores on its fourth straight series, this time a 13-yard run out of the wildcat formation by Raider Payne. The last three Amarillo drives have started deep in LHS territory. 28-0, 9:36 2Q. @HubCityPrepsLBK
End 1Q: Amarillo 21, LHS 0. It's all Sandies, outgaining the Westerners 130-46, and 45 of those yards for Lubbock High came on the first play of the game. @HubCityPrepsLBK
LHS knew it would be tough to stop Amarillo tonight and that has proven to be the case. Patterson scores his second TD of the quarter on a 33-yard catch and run to make it 21-0 Sandies, :45 1Q. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Amarillo rewards Deuce Patterson's big punt return by throwing him a 26-yard TD pass on the next play 14-0 Sandies, 4:23 1Q. @HubCityPrepsLBK
After opening the game with three passes and a punt, Amarillo gets going with its run game and scores on a 16-yard run by Cohen Swaim. LHS hit a 45-yard pass to open the game but a TO on downs and a punt followed. 7-0 Sandies, 5:43 1Q. @HubCityPrepsLBK
The ball is in the air and we are underway from PlainsCapital Park/Lowrey Field. LHS will start with the ball at its 25 after the touchback. @HubCityPrepsLBK
Amarillo wins the toss and defes to the second half. Lubbock High will receive and defend the North goal (left to right on your X dial). @HubCityPrepsLBK
Lubbock High tonight wearing black helmets and jerseys, white pants and numerals Amarillo in black helmets, white jerseys, black pants and numerals. Very much an intrasquad scrimmage look. @HubCityPrepsLBK
