2026 is an Election YEAR in South Dakota. My goodness! Primary election with a very crowded ballot, runoffs, recounts, and still another statewide runoff 34 days from now. Oh yeah, then the general election on November 3!
Forces are attempting to bend the first, second, and fourth amendments to the U.S. Constitution a lot lately. It’s easy to blame others without looking in the mirror. We must do better - together.

Democrats rejecting a bipartisan deal to keep playing political games with the American people. Got it. Holding government functions hostage instead of conversing with their colleagues is ridiculous. Tragedy will strike if this continues. Do your job and govern!

The SALTY members of Congress should use their influence to elect better legislators and governors in their states to reform tax policies. Increasing the SALT deduction incentivizes high tax states and cities to keep with their ways.
It’s no surprise the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area has the highest rate of SALT deduction usage, while states like SD and Texas have some of the lowest.
