Saying puberty blockers are safe for precocious puberty but not gender dysphoria is quite telling.
The drugs don’t have different effects in these cases—you’re literally using them *to block puberty*.
What you’re saying you have a problem with is *young people transitioning*.

I have has SO many folk asking me today ‘what can I do?’ about Wes Streeting and the puberty blocker ban.
Well, you could send a copy of the attached to your MP and to WS and KS with your endorsement / comment.
I’ll be in tribunal on another matter for the rest of this week.

Trans people need to be able to exist safely as themselves with respect & dignity, and with equal access to adequately funded healthcare.
I support & stand in solidarity with the trans community —including young trans people — for whom puberty blockers are a life-saving measure.

Puberty blockers have been deemed SAFE for use for kids who aren’t trans.
By the sheer magic of being trans, those exact same puberty blockers have been deemed UNSAFE for trans kids.
And what’s the difference between them?
A word.

Access to hormone blockers has been shown to reduce mental ill health for trans people.
Gender affirming care saves lives. A ban on puberty blockers for under 18s is wrong.

Tell me how this isn’t rigged? These were the terms set by Kemi Badenoch for recruiting the Cass Advisory Group - the body that would ultimately decide the health fate of the UK trans community. It banned trans people or trans orgs from advising on their own healthcare - along with Gender Specialists. Effectively meaning they had a group of non-experts. #BookmarkCass

Does the "serious but unquantifiable" risk of taking puberty blockers also apply to children diagnosed with early onset puberty, some of them toddlers? If not, it seems this is a policy designed by people who don't believe trans kids should exist

We made a very clear pledge in our manifesto that we must now deliver.
That means ensuring access to medicine that has been proven time and time again to save the lives of trans people.
A ban on puberty blockers is unacceptable.

Remember that a puberty blockers "ban" isn't a complete ban on them, it's just for trans kids. C*s kids with precocious puberty will still be prescribed them.
It's hypocritical & blatant transphobia, if they were actually dangerous, they'd be banned for c*s kids too.

Individuals are not absolved from personal responsibility if they enact unethical policies directed from an employer. I'm not sure where we got the idea that we can 'just follow orders' when organisational policies harm clients. No. You have to refuse. Unionise now.

Trans Safety Network have sent a letter to NHS England demanding they consult with the daring trans youth who have been compelled to scale the front of their offices in London. Presently, these young people have been on the side of the building for 3 days

Trans people exist and most use spaces according to the gender they present in. That's happened for decades with no problems and we aren't going to make life more difficult for businesses by expecting them to police toilets.

Say what you like about BACP, but at the moment, they are the only one of the main three professional bodies vocally and actively fighting for the ban on conversion therapy.
