OBO allegedly entering Kokopee’s DM has turned some 30BG supporters into full-time defenders. Una no dey tire? 😂 What’s funny is how quickly a celebrity story becomes a battle between fanbases. Instead of discussing whether the claim makes sense, people start treating anyone who questions it as an enemy of their favourite. Personally, I find the claim hard to believe, but I can’t confirm what happened in their private conversations. That’s exactly why people should separate what has been claimed from what has actually been established. Davido has millions of supporters, so his name alone can turn an ordinary story into a major conversation. That attention doesn’t automatically make the claim true, just as questioning it doesn’t automatically make someone a hater. Support your favourite all you want, but loyalty shouldn’t stop you from thinking for yourself. 😂

I grew up appreciating lyricists like Vector and Mode9, and later Cassper Nyovest, so maybe my standards are different. But Crossfire? 3/10. Convince me otherwise. For me, rap isn't just about having two artists on a beat or making a song that gets people talking. The bars should stand out, the delivery should carry weight, and the writing should give listeners a reason to replay the track beyond the hype. That's where Crossfire falls short for me. I wanted stronger lyrical moments, more memorable punchlines, and something that would make me stop and appreciate the craft. I didn't get enough of that to justify a higher rating. My issue isn't that every rapper must sound like Vector, Mode9 or Cassper Nyovest. Styles evolve, and rap can be enjoyable without being lyrically complex. But there's a difference between a song being entertaining and being an impressive rap record. I'll still give Crossfire credit over some recent efforts I've heard from Odumodu and Shallipopi, but that doesn't make it a classic. What makes a rap song great to you: the lyrics, the flow, the beat, or the overall experience?

Disney bringing Tiana back is exciting, but the real challenge isn't making fans nostalgic. It's giving them a reason to fall in love with her story all over again. A new animated The Princess and the Frog special is reportedly on the way, with new songs and the return of the original cast. That last part matters. The original film wasn't memorable just because it was a Disney princess story. Its music, New Orleans setting and Tiana's determination gave it an identity of its own. The songs weren't just background noise; they helped make the characters and their world feel alive. Now Disney has a chance to build on that foundation. New songs could introduce a fresh chapter, while the original cast could help preserve the voices fans already connect with. But there's a difference between bringing back familiar characters and capturing what made people care about them in the first place. A project can have all the nostalgia in the world and still feel unnecessary if it offers nothing meaningful beyond the reunion. The goal shouldn't be to recreate the past. It should be to give Tiana another story worth remembering.
A new animated ‘PRINCESS AND THE FROG’ special will be releasing soon. “We are really moving on that right now... That will be out to people soon. New songs. Original cast. It is pretty spectacular.” (Source: collider.com/princess-and-th…)

A power station lasting five hours doesn't automatically mean it's good or bad. The real question is what it was powering during those five hours. Mr Dani Kings Reacts has criticised aspects of VeryDarkMan's demonstration of the Ratel Power RP1200, arguing that two mistakes could affect how viewers interpret the test. But here's what people often miss when influencers test products: the result means very little without the conditions behind it. The devices connected, their power consumption and the way the test was conducted all help determine what the final result actually tells us. Without those details, it's difficult to draw a fair conclusion about the product's performance. This is also why personality driven debates can be misleading. Some people may defend VDM because they support him, while others may accept the criticism without examining the evidence. Neither approach helps someone deciding whether to spend their money. The sensible move is to compare the claims, check the testing method and look for independent results before making a purchase. When your money is involved, don't choose sides first and examine the evidence later. Let the evidence decide.

Michael Jackson has a Halloween advantage most artists can only dream of: he made a song that people want to revisit every October. “Thriller” has reportedly reached No. 1 on US iTunes ahead of Halloween, showing how strongly the classic still connects with listeners decades after its release. But the interesting part isn't just the chart position. It's how the song became bigger than a normal music release. The horror-inspired video, unforgettable choreography and theatrical sound helped turn “Thriller” into a complete experience that people associate with Halloween. That's a rare achievement. Many hit songs remain popular because people remember the era they came from. “Thriller” has gone further by becoming part of a yearly tradition, introducing itself to new listeners while giving longtime fans a reason to return. And that's what separates a song people enjoy from one that becomes part of popular culture. It doesn't need to dominate every chart all year. It has a moment when its impact becomes impossible to ignore. Michael Jackson didn't just give Halloween a hit song. He helped give the season one of its most recognisable soundtracks.

Zaytoven in the studio is a reminder that a producer can influence a song long before the artist touches the microphone. People usually give most of the attention to the rapper or singer, but the beat often determines how the entire record comes together. The rhythm can inspire a particular flow. The melody can shape the mood. Even a small sound in the background can become the detail that makes a song instantly recognisable. That’s what makes producing such an important part of music. It isn't just about putting drums together or finding a catchy melody. It's about creating a sound that gives an artist something to build on. Zaytoven has made his mark in hip-hop through his production, especially within trap music. So seeing him back in the studio is interesting because the creative process starts with possibilities. One beat could inspire a completely different direction for an artist. Of course, we have to hear the finished work before judging the result. Studio clips can build anticipation, but the music itself has to deliver. The artist may carry the song, but the producer can give it its identity. Now let's hear what Zaytoven is cooking.

Burna Boy keeps reminding everyone he's the king, but when was the last time he dropped a solo hit that had everyone talking? On October 29, he shared a new snippet and responded to people counting how long he has gone without releasing a single in 2026. He also claimed they made two songs on the spot. Nobody can take away what Burna Boy has achieved. He has taken Nigerian music to a global audience and built a strong catalogue. But the problem with being a big star is that people expect you to keep delivering. A new artist can drop one hit and get people excited. A star like Burna Boy is judged against the high standard he helped create for himself. Fans remember the songs that dominated conversations, so naturally, they want that feeling again. He doesn't need to release music every month, and not every song has to be a hit. But confidence and past achievements cannot replace the excitement of a fresh record that connects with people. Burna Boy has already shown us what he can do. The next challenge is giving fans another solo hit they can't stop playing.

Some movie characters become so iconic that you don't need a trailer, a reunion or a new film to remember them. One good Halloween costume is enough. Quenlin Blackwell and Gabbriette dressed as Brenda Meeks and Cindy Campbell from Scary Movie 3, bringing two familiar faces from the comedy franchise back into the spotlight. What I love about this choice is that these characters represent more than a nostalgic movie reference. Scary Movie built its comedy around taking horror films seriously for just long enough to make their most ridiculous moments even funnier. Brenda and Cindy became memorable because of the personalities and absurd situations that made them stand out. Their appeal wasn't simply about what they wore; it was about the comedy attached to them. That's what separates lasting pop culture characters from characters people forget after a few months. A strong design might get attention, but a distinctive personality and memorable scenes give people something to revisit. Years later, people are still finding ways to bring these characters back into conversations. A good costume recreates the look. A truly iconic character brings the memories and laughter with it.

Usyk has already conquered cruiserweight and heavyweight. Now, the possibility of returning to cruiserweight to face David Benavidez makes this an interesting story about legacy, not just another big boxing match. According to Usyk’s advisor, Serhii Lapin, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion plans to return to the division for his next bout as he pursues a super fight with Benavidez. Benavidez is scheduled to fight on December 5 with three cruiserweight titles to unify. The fascinating part is what each man stands to gain. Usyk would be returning to familiar territory, but past success doesn't automatically guarantee future dominance. Boxing changes, opponents bring different problems, and every comeback comes with fresh questions. For Benavidez, a fight like this offers a chance to face one of boxing's most accomplished champions. Beating Usyk would mean far more than adding another famous name to his record. That's why this potential matchup interests me. Usyk has the experience and achievements, while Benavidez has an opportunity to make a statement of his own. If this fight happens, Usyk will be defending more than his reputation. He'll be testing whether his old kingdom still belongs to him.

People turn celebrity couples into relationship goals, then act shocked when the marriage falls apart. As if looking happy together in pictures is proof that everything is perfect behind closed doors. Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley have reportedly filed for divorce, according to PEOPLE. And already, you can imagine how quickly people will start revisiting old interviews, analysing pictures and searching for signs that something was wrong. But here's what I find interesting. The same people who once called a couple perfect can suddenly convince themselves they saw the breakup coming all along. That's the problem with putting celebrity relationships on a pedestal. We confuse public appearances with private happiness and mistake romantic moments for evidence of a successful marriage. A beautiful wedding, expensive holidays and affectionate pictures can tell you that two people shared happy moments. They cannot tell you how they handled disagreements, disappointment or difficult conversations. And this goes beyond celebrities. People do the same thing with couples they know personally. The truth is, we often admire relationships we know almost nothing about, then judge their failures with confidence we haven't earned.

Imagine creating a movie character so memorable that, more than 20 years later, people are still recreating her look. That's the power of good storytelling. Faouzia dressed up as Corpse Bride for Halloween, bringing back the iconic character from Tim Burton's 2005 animated film. But what makes this character so memorable isn't just her blue skin, wedding dress or gothic appearance. It's the contrast between how she looks and what her story represents: heartbreak, love and the desire to be chosen. That's what separates a recognisable character from a truly memorable one. Plenty of films give us striking designs, but not every character leaves an emotional impression strong enough for audiences to remember them years later. The best character designs work because they serve the story. You recognise the appearance, remember the emotions and reconnect with the world the filmmaker created. That's why some movie characters remain popular long after the original hype has disappeared. Their appeal goes beyond trends because there's something meaningful behind the image. A great costume gets attention. A great character gives people a reason to remember it.

Hollywood is about to give The Odyssey the full awards-season treatment, but the interesting part isn't just the list of famous names involved. It's what that list tells us about how the Oscar race works. Starting the week of November 9, Christopher Nolan, Matt Damon and producer Emma Thomas are expected to take part in screenings and Q&As, with Robert Downey Jr., Guillermo del Toro and Steven Spielberg among the notable names involved. Here's the reality of awards season: making an excellent film is one challenge. Making sure it receives serious attention from the people who decide the awards is another. These events give Nolan and his team opportunities to discuss the film's creative decisions, performances and technical achievements. The behind-the-scenes documentary also offers a closer look at the work that audiences may never fully appreciate from watching the finished product alone. That's what makes Oscar campaigns fascinating. They don't simply promote a film; they help frame the conversation around it. They can direct attention towards particular performances, filmmaking techniques and artistic choices. Ultimately, a campaign cannot guarantee a deserving film will win. But it can influence how closely people look at the work before making their decision.
"The Odyssey" Oscar campaign is officially set to kick off in earnest the week of Nov. 9 with a run of screenings and Q&As that put Nolan, Matt Damon and producer Emma Thomas in front of voters nearly every night for two weeks. Robert Downey Jr. will moderate the Los Angeles kickoff on Nov. 11 at the TCL Chinese Theatre, with an Imax 70mm screening. Guillermo del Toro will be on hand at the AMC Universal CityWalk session on Nov. 12. Steven Spielberg will handle Nolan at the DGA Theater on Nov. 17, in 70mm. On Nov. 10, Universal’s Spielberg Theater will host the world premiere of “Behind the Scenes of The Odyssey,” a 75-minute making-of documentary introduced by Nolan himself. The film’s star Damon, who plays Odysseus, will moderate the Q&A afterward, which will include all the key artisan players. variety.com/2026/film/awards…
