No. The SA-X attacked the Omega Metroid because that's its threat. The SA-X ignored Samus and prioritized destroying the Restricted Area because of the presence of Metroids. At the end of Fusion, Samus doesn't speak about the heroic act of the SA-X because it didn't happen.
