From the day he was hired, Matt has taken this program on a trajectory of consistent improvement. High standards, kid based, strong relational skill set, and one of the most solid technical guys around. We knew he was gonna earn this award, as the program earned their success!

John Anderson… one of Sumner’s greatest citizens and servant leaders - influential and inspirational teacher, coach, athletic director, Rotarian, and community icon… John was simply a wonderful human being.

Thanks to WIAA leader Mick Hoffman for the important reminder of the purpose behind education based athletic programs. As a fan, coach, or parent- being a role model of respect and positive support is the most important lesson you can help teach our student/athletes.
Op-ed: Unruly behavior by coaches, parents and fans must stop. It’s threatening the games

That admiration went both ways! @BainesJeff and @Talltim57 were following in John Anderson’s footsteps. His inspiration, character, humble servant leadership, and role modeling were his legacy. Jeff, you made him proud!
