Little bit about myself and my background. I’m a 28 year old licensed GC / real estate agent and I went to University of South Carolina. I have completed over 50 builds in the past five years. Always eager to learn and grow my business.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to post about what you do. I only have around 500 followers on Instagram and maybe 1,000 friends on Facebook, but just from consistently sharing my work, I landed a $700k remodel.
You don’t need a huge following. You just need people to know what you do. If they don’t know, they won’t think of you when they need someone.
My wife hates her corporate job so much. She is fascinated by entrepreneurship. Tell me why I should or shouldn’t start this business for her? We live in a super high growth area and right now only two options for coffee are Starbucks and Dunkin, no local coffee options at all.

I love good brick work. Truly an art
If it’s so cheap and easy just do it yourself or get multiple quotes.
Just got quoted $2,400 to paint a 23 by 13 foot living room.
The 4 gallons of paint it takes to do the job costs about $110 at Home Depot, or around $160 if you want Sherwin Williams.
This is not a particularly skilled job.
You went to trade school, not medical school.
You own a brush and a roller.
Stop ripping people off, contractors.
I’m realizing I have four bachelors next year and I’ll be golfing on all of them. What advice would you give to a man who doesn’t really golf / hasn’t golfed in years?
565k and can see the ocean?? Tell me what’s wrong with it. House needs to be renovated obviously but for 565k and views like that, that’s hard to beat.
It took me so long to learn this.
My mom wanted to add a shower to her bathroom so she got a contractor out for a quote. I told her beforehand its gonna be like 20-30k
Guy spends 2 hours at the house, probably another few hours at home doing the quote. Comes back at 30k and she's like nope way out of my budget
I'm like mom you wasted that guys whole day lol. She says it was a free quote, he offered to come out, she didn't make him do anything
Which is kinda fair tbh. He could've just asked on the phone "these usually run 25-30k is that in your budget" and saved himself 5 hours
Contractors need to stop giving away free time like this
Had some 7 foot spots in the corners. Mostly 3-5 feet around entire footing. I’m just glad we at least finally hit solid ground. These are the risks when you build a spec home.
