It turns out that you can make a ROM based Covox Speech Thing, and mine goes meow! Well, not in this picture, that is just checking A0 to see what frequency it was actually playing at (~1/2 input clock). A PWM signal goes to 274393Ns which simply walk through the samples in ROM

How I got the T48 programmer working on Apple silicon and Windows 11 for ARM. What you need: - Driver signature enforcement: off - Latest Zadig Step 1: - Turn on advanced mode and select an output folder for the WinUSB driver. - Hit the extract files button

I've been playing with my charlieplexed RGB board again. Shown in the video is color cycling by faking 2 bits per channel. It is extremely memory hungry at the moment, so I'll probably rewrite everything later. Despite switching at ~2KHz, it is still extremely hard to record.

I kept it on my nightstand to see if it would last the whole night. Unfortunately, my cat loves trying to wake me up by getting into trouble and the positive wire suffered her wrath. It was lit for at least 5 or 6 hours, which makes sense considering the earlier measurements.

I'm too tired and or lazy to get the power consumption measurements this time. I'll just see how long the battery holds out. 5KHz ISR for pseudo RGB333 charlieplexing 2MHz clock ATtiny85 CR2032 battery

When will I ever learn to comment my code when writing dumb one-off projects? I'm looking at two year old code and I want to go back in time and give myself a good smack.

Neat: You can throw a colour LED on some analogue Arduino pins and use it to detect if the screen is showing that colour. The difference in the ADC reading is small, though and adding a second LED breaks everything.

A second LED would be useful in using flashing light on a screen to transmit data. The red LED might be the clock and the green could be data. It might work as those seem to respond only to their respective colours Mayb doable with 1 LED, but the idea is too dumb for that effort
