Lately I have been pulled in a lot of different directions and I feel that God is calling me to give up social media for the time being. I love y'all, if you need me message me, I'm not hard to find. Praise be to God and peace be with you.

"God doesn't elect our leaders, He just allows it." Please read your Bibles. We got the leaders we deserved because America turned their backs on God, and as per the Bible, God DOES elect them. Even most who call themselves Christian are Biblically illiterate. The whole, "God gave us unlimited free will and He watches us do what we do and doesn't interfere" is not Biblical whatsoever. God interferes whenever He wants. Read your Bibles, people. God is always in control. Some things He allows and doesn't interfere, but He can and does interfere often. God does whatever He wants and He is not limited by human will.

One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

The same 32GB of computer memory that cost $59 a year and a half ago costs $429 today. And the CEO of OpenAI just said it's "quite terrible" that you have it in your computer at all. What Sam Altman said about a minute before that is the part that should actually bother you. He was on John Collison's podcast, Cheeky Pint, and John asked him the question everyone pricing out a PC has been asking. Memory got ridiculously expensive. Normally when something gets that expensive, new companies rush in to make more of it and the price comes back down. So where are they? Sam answered with one word, "bad," and then said the invisible hand is failing right now. His explanation was pretty honest. For decades, he said, making memory chips meant spending $20 billion on factories to make $19 billion back. It was a brutal boom-and-bust business that nearly bankrupted these companies more than once. Samsung's profit dropped about 96% as recently as early 2023, and it had to cut production. The people running Samsung, SK hynix and Micron, the three companies that make about 95% of the world's memory, all remember that. So they're in no hurry to build a bunch of new factories. And why would they be? SK hynix reported earnings this week. It made $63 billion in operating profit in three months at an 80% operating margin, which means 80 cents of every dollar of sales turned into profit. For reference, TSMC, the company that makes chips for Apple and Nvidia, ran about 59% the same quarter. SK hynix is sending roughly 100 trillion won back to shareholders this year and told investors it expects demand to stay ahead of supply through 2030. Then there's who's buying. Back in October 2025, OpenAI signed letters of intent with Samsung and SK hynix for up to 900,000 memory wafers a month. Industry estimates put that at as much as 40% of all the memory the world makes. To be fair to Sam, he was talking about people running AI models at home, and a server shared by thousands of users really will keep its memory busier than your desktop ever does. But put it all together. OpenAI has dibs on up to 40% of the world's memory, bought from suppliers clearing 80% margins who'd rather not build more, and the memory he thinks is being wasted is the 32 gigs sitting in your laptop.

Your PC has too much RAM and it’s your fault prices are up. That’s Sam Altman, barely paraphrased. “Quite terrible” allocation, his words. Same year his company locked up a huge piece of the supply and a 32GB kit tripled. How much RAM are you running in your PC right now?

Not a single entity in the gaming industry criticized Sam Altman’s statement when he said “It’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer.”🚀 You know why? Because they’re all on the same page 👎Sony ending physical media 👎XBOX limiting streaming by hours and selling you extra hours like an escort service 👎Take-Two CEO telling the world physical media “makes no sense” and equated it with listening to music from vinyl, only to sell you 11 physical vinyl and CD variants of GTA6 soundtracks, and then proceeding to tell you streaming will be mainstream in just 3 years because of expensive hardware 🔴They want you to own nothing 🔴They want you to remain subscribed 🔴They want you to have no agency/options And then they use their terms which always start out as “for safety” then “for the kids” and then “for licensing”, they eventually yank everything you paid for, under the excuse of “you signed for the terms” or “but it’s just not profitable, tech is hard!” But when that happens, you won’t be able to do anything to change anything. So that’s the game industry for you That’s the tech industry for you Speak out before it’s too late NO DISC 💿 NO BUY

When you shut down a modern iPhone, the Power Management Unit (PMU) cuts voltage to the main A-series processor, the OLED display, and the camera array. It leaves a separate Low Power Mode (LPM) rail live on the motherboard. Sitting on that energized rail are three wireless chips: the Bluetooth controller, the NXP NFC controller, and the Apple U1 Ultra-Wideband chip. Apple built this hardware partition to run "Findable After Power Off," Express Transit passes, and Digital Car Keys when your battery dies. Even with iOS completely unloaded from RAM, those three chips stay powered for up to 24 hours on a manual shutdown (and up to 5 hours on automatic battery reserve). Right before iOS powers down, it pre-computes 96 rolling NIST P-224 public keys (one for every 15-minute window over the next 24 hours) and sends them to the Bluetooth chip using Host Controller Interface (HCI) commands. The final HCI command severs communication with the main processor and starts a standalone thread inside the Bluetooth silicon. While the main SoC sits unpowered, the Bluetooth chip wakes up every 2 seconds to broadcast the current P-224 public key over Bluetooth Low Energy. Any passing iPhone or MacBook that hears that broadcast encrypts its own GPS coordinates with your broadcasted public key and relays the packet to Apple servers. In 2022, researchers at the SEEMOO lab at TU Darmstadt audited this low-power hardware chain ("Evil Never Sleeps") and found a major gap between the three wireless chips. While the NFC chip runs encrypted and signed firmware and the U1 Ultra-Wideband chip checks cryptographic signatures at boot, the Broadcom Bluetooth chip has neither encryption nor signature verification on its firmware updates. Broadcom bakes its base Bluetooth firmware into read-only Mask ROM at the factory. To fix bugs and load the standalone Find My feature, iOS writes raw binary patches directly into the chip internal SRAM using a mechanism called PatchRAM (Write_RAM HCI commands). The hardware never checks a cryptographic signature on those RAM patches. If an attacker already has kernel-level code execution on iOS (through spyware or a local jailbreak exploit), they can overwrite the Bluetooth chip PatchRAM in SRAM before the user powers the phone down. When the user drags the power-off slider, iOS halts and wipes main system RAM. Because the PMU keeps the LPM power rail alive, the modified Bluetooth firmware stays in SRAM and keeps executing on reserve battery power. Worse, the TU Darmstadt team showed from iPhone board schematics that the Bluetooth and U1 chips are wired directly to the Secure Element inside the NFC controller via dedicated hardware buses (SE_I2C and R1_WAKE/SYNC) so car keys and transit cards work while the phone is off. Compromised Bluetooth firmware running in LPM can broadcast custom tracking beacons, listen for over-the-air wake commands, or talk directly to the Secure Element over SE_I2C while the main operating system is dead. Apple lets you tap "Temporarily Turn Off Finding" on the shutdown screen and enter your passcode to disable LPM for that power cycle. That toggle works if your phone is clean, because a clean iOS kernel tells the PMU to cut the LPM rail. If your phone is already compromised by kernel spyware, the malware controls the shutdown sequence. It can turn off the screen, play the shutdown animation, ignore your toggle, and tell the PMU to keep the patched Bluetooth chip powered in the background. Once kernel malware can hide inside unverified radio SRAM, a software power-off slider means nothing. Until the battery is physically disconnected from the board or the phone goes inside an RF-shielded Faraday bag, the Bluetooth silicon can stay on the air.

This is a 2022 proof of concept, not a new discovery. It required prior privileged access to modify Bluetooth firmware on older iPhones. The study documented no real-world attacks, and this post provides no evidence that current models remain vulnerable. arxiv.org/abs/2205.06114 arstechnica.com/information-te…
