Disadvantaged young people are less likely to have access to adequate resources or the internet to study from home, in comparison to their wealthier peers. With so many missing out on schooling, it is more important than ever to address the #DigitalDivide.

High-quality tutoring is one of the most effective ways to help pupils catch up on missed learning. ✍️ Funding for the @NTProgramme should be extended beyond the current academic year.

The pupil premium is an important lever with which to improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. 📖 The pupil premium rate should be protected, ensuring it is directed at effective, evidence-based approaches.

So how are #disadvantaged pupils going to #catchup lost learning? What if they have to self isolate? What about online lessons or #tutoring ? This just entrenches inequality
