I honestly think the number one gift you can give an adult is helping them find work they enjoy.
A good friend (and never-Trumper Republican) recently relocated to Salt Lake. I knew it was more of a purple/Libertarian state, but I did not appreciate three aspects of Utah exceptionalism that offer a potential playbook for other red and blue states. Here’s a short 🧵
So that’s it, three reasons why Utah can serve as a model:
1/ Underdog parties backing Independents
2/ Senior Senate and House leaders not just knee-jerk backing the party candidate
3/ All mail voting to focus the debate on policy not access
