Our review of the new MacBook Pro. Beware: if you see the screen you’re going to be forced to buy it.
The new MacBook Pro is phenomenal. Even if you rarely use the touchscreen, its OLED display and lighter design are easily worth an extra $400 if you're already spending so much.
They messed up the speakers a little, though. Too much bass now.

If Apple doesn’t do face ID on the 2uo if they had under-screen touch ID, that would help a lot.

Don't like that the iPhone Duo doesn't auto-lock when you close it?
You can fix it with this simple Shortcuts automation.

iPhone Duo Shortcut:
Lock your iPhone Duo if you’re running an app and close the phone, the app still runs on the smaller display.
If you’re on the home screen, closing also locks the phone.

Seems like in the end - depending on market - Apple dramatically limited store pick up pre-orders in favor of walk-in inventory. Have also heard some stores holding back inventory (or getting more shipments) for Saturday. In terms of today, 50-200 units on average I’d say.

🚨 An unexpected accident occurred after Sam Kohl dropped his iPhone Duo, leaving the device severely damaged. 😱
The photos show a shattered display, exposed internal components, and visible damage caused by the impact. The incident sparked reactions on social media, with AppleLeaker suggesting that Sam should be blacklisted from future Apple events. 📱💥
It remains to be seen whether this was simply an unfortunate accident or if it raises questions about the device’s durability.

There's been zero communication to Apple retail stores saying this. Perhaps a manager at select stores told employees this, but nothing like this has been communicated to date. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it hasn't.

Thanks too all the cell phone advice thru the years from @stetsondoggett … switched after my Black Friday deal last year at @USMobile to $10/month @Mintmobile. I will be back to USMobile once they get unlimited 5GSA on Lightspeed. – at Columbus, OH
T-Mobile is offering aggressive promos right now!
> Mint Mobile Unlimited $10/mo for 6 months
> Metro by T-Mobile Unlimited $15/mo for 3 months
I'd personally go with Mint (affiliate): mint-mobile.58dp.net/PzBEBz

Apple has given zero indication if there will be day one availability in its stores. If they don't clarify this in advance, there may be a lot of unhappy people who waited in line for nothing.

We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.
