Strengthening Our Digital Future Through Accountability and Risk Management.
As the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, my priority is not just expanding access, but ensuring that the infrastructure we build is resilient, secure, and trusted by the people of Zimbabwe.
Yesterday, I officially opened an Enterprise Risk Management workshop for our ministry executives in Harare. We are taking decisive steps to protect public resources and ensure our digital transformation agenda is built on a foundation of integrity.
We agreed on the following:
ยท Documentation: All departments must submit validated risk registers by November 6 to identify threats to connectivity and service delivery.
ยท Accountability: New projects must include documented risk assessments immediately.
ยท Action: We are implementing stricter internal controls and business continuity arrangements to safeguard against cyber threats, fraud, and procurement weaknesses.
This initiative is critical to supporting our National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and our vision of becoming an upper middle income society by 2030. Digital transformation requires both innovation and public trust we are committed to delivering both.
