Here's a free tip for event flyer design that seems to be frequently missed: if you have a QR code with crucial info, you need a web address too. I can't scan the QR when I'm looking at it on my phone, so if there's no address to type in, I can't access the information.

ppl should do what they want with their money but moderate democrats' deficits relate to candidates, messaging, organizing, and enthusiasm ... not money.
plus, i hope ppl see the risk in a headline about moderates raising millions of dollars to attack a popular left insurgency that attracts support in part bc by representing themselves as a bulwark against moneyed interests.
NYT: Moderate Democrats Prepare for ‘War’ Against an Ascendant Left
“We are preparing for the next war that is coming,” said Jonathan Cowan, president of Third Way, revealing a new $15 million effort through 2028 to discredit democratic socialism.
Their fear: El-Sayed paving a path for a progressive to seize the party’s 2028 presidential nomination — and then lose the general election.
“It is deeply troubling to see radical, far-left candidates winning in places that are potentially presidential swing states.”

Maine, Minnesota, Utah, and now Massachusetts are all on the #flag redesign bandwagon, time for #Connecticut to jump on board. Surely we can't do any worse than what we already have.
Massachusetts is making progress toward a new state flag, seal and motto. What do you think about these finalists? wcvb.com/article/massachuset…
Of all the disturbing trends I've seen lately, perhaps the worst is people posting screenshots of an AI-generated answer to a question like it is the word of God rather than predictive text that may have some truth to it but is just as likely to hallucinate "facts" as well.

Kash Patel is doing such a great job on fighting crime that we are actually having to import sex traffickers from other countries.

There’s now a DOGE_DOT account… quick everyone find a highway widening that should be cancelled!
I indulge in #schadenfreude as much as anyone else, but it's a bad look and counterproductive to do it publicly.

Not extending discrimination protections to cover #genderidentity is bad enough, but the #IowaLegislature removing protections that have been in place since 2007 is cruel and unprecedented and further proof that the #RepublicanParty is morally bankrupt.

Silly me thinking that the most prescient fictional villains were Skynet and Buy n Large, but they turn out to have been Lex Luthor and Dr. Evil instead.

It's been a week since the election and while I'm still bitterly disappointed by the result, I'm an optimist by nature, so here is my most optimistic take.
Nationally, the average state moved 6 points right from 2020, but the 7 heavily contested swing states only moved 3 points.
Worldwide, the incumbent party got drubbed over the past two years, so Democrats and Harris in the U.S. did comparatively well. This is cold comfort, as the practical results of a Trump presidency as a result of narrow loss will still be as catastrophic as a huge loss.
#CTDOT is redesigning Rt 15 exit 62 ramps in North Haven. Please sign this petition to be delivered to the project manager to ask DOT to construct #sidewalks along Dixwell Ave, which are not included in the plans.

I think the #MacysParade float pairings were created with a random pairing generator. How are En Vogue and "Free Your Mind" related to Kalahari Resorts? And perhaps more importantly, why is a waterpark named after a desert? #latestagecapitalism
RIP #BillRichardson. Like Bill Bradley and Howard Dean before you, and Jay Inslee afterwards, you would've had my vote on the primary ballot if only enough others voters supported you to stay in the race.

Rather than welcome a complimentary brewery that can grow Centerville into a regional destination and therefore help its own business, @elisonwhitney filed a frivolous lawsuit that harms the neighborhood. I invite you to join me taking our business elsewhere.

It's not so much of a happy hour for the would-be brewery. nhregister.com/news/article/…
Thanks to the Charter Revision Commission for all the hard work they put into updating the town's charter. We on the Legislative Council adopted most of the CRC's recommendations and have now put the revisions on the November ballot for #Hamden voters to approve.
Hamden voters will decide whether to adopt a new town charter this November. It establishes 4-year mayoral terms, increases civilian oversight of the police department and adds youth reps to boards and commissions, among other measures. @nhregister nhregister.com/metro/article…
