This is the most serious 48 hours in cybersecurity history.
"Black October" they're calling it

re; papertrade ETH situation;
"attacker", "exploiter", "hacker"
you people are so retarded it hurts to read the timeline
they are simply using the free markets as they should be used with the tools at their disposal
protocol allows them to do that
good on them.
crypto is losing nerds
and it will probably be the reason of its downfall
the latest active pipeline of "attention economists" and "social traders" are not helping much to the situation
just to try to remember, when was the last time, when you saw a tweet about a crypto concept, that doesn't revolve around trading and don't use any of buzzwords (narrative, edge, etc etc) and where the poster was genuinely obsessed with that thing
we are still running on fumes of the tech that was built in 2016-2017
and unless something interesting pops up again, we are doomed
Would we not have been far more surprised if it hadn't?
$PONS revenue is down 90% from its ATH over the past month.
What went wrong?
So much forced hate.
Both ZEC and XMR can flourish.
Personally, Im just going to keep stacking Monero as one of my uber-long term bags, as it has maybe the healthiest, most organic looking all-time chart of any token out there, with a usecase/demand that will never go away.
But I'll ALSO trade these crazy hype cycles for ZCash (& whatever else is running,) as one of my sources of funds for those longer term bags.
The whole market is open to you 24/7. Don't forget that. For example, i obviously have negative faith in the XRP scam long term, but ill still take long positions for swing trades if/when the time feels right.
It's not all or nothing, your capital is flexible. That's the whole point of defi.
Zcash mooning is going to cause so much mental-illness.
Shitcoiners(BCash, BSV, LTC etc) will all think they're up next, like this is a game of musical chairs.
It's actually bad, this wasn't a random thing, it's part of how Zcash was planned with it's tokenomics at launch until now + the time finally being right for the narrative to take off.
Countless people will suffer because of this, not just because they're zidelined but because it will drive others further down other failed altcoin/shitcoin rabbit holes, similar to how the success of large-cap memecoins drove many into the trenches thinking they would be "up-next".
Just look at how the Monero people are doubling down, not just by rage-shorting Zcash, but by ape-ing into Monero. It won't work.
Things will probably get worse for non-Zcashers.
This is really cause by lack of humility and greed, everyone will be ape-ing random shitcoins thinking its the "next Zcash" instead of just buying Zcash because they think "it's already over, I already missed it"
Stop trying to be smart and one-up everyone, just buy Zcash. I'm sorry, I know that sounds like I'm talking my book, but I've known so many people who have lost years of their lives trying to be "smart".
My friend who lost 600 BTC ape-ing eos:native & tezos:native comes to mind. He caught BTC, ETH & XMR early, but tried to get cute and fell down the eos:native and tezos:native rabbitholes.
He's pretty much insane now and I get random messages from him on signal from time to time, which is just garbled combinations of letters and numbers, I think he's homeless now, I haven't heard from in a couple years, he may be dead. Google searching his name yields no results.
Most people can be successful in crypto by just trend-following, I know its not popular to say that, but it's true.
Don't try and get cute, just buy Zcash.
Cold world.
$ZEC is a planned demolition event like the 9-11 attacks to bankrupt the crypto ecosystem, and to make people distrust private self custody of their wealth through cryptocurrency so they rely on centralised banks once more to usher in CBDCs
Zec = LUNA 2.0
You have been warned.
Many have forgotten about the Orchard exploit for $ZEC (which was never accidental to begin with, it was intentional)
I have it on good authority that an equivalent amount of the supply has been secretly minted
And at the right time, Zec is a luna 2.0 waiting to happen.
You have been warned.
$LINK reclaiming the weekly 100MA on the ETH pairing.
Buckle up.

🚨IS THE GOVERNMENT ABOUT TO GRAB YOUR XRP HOLDINGS?🚨
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Regulators' discussions of "unified" or "central" ledgers describe plans for tokenized deposits and assets to improve financial efficiency, not to seize XRP or personal property such as houses. Self-custodied XRP cannot be frozen or grabbed on the decentralized XRP Ledger.

Question for my #linkmarine fam,
Do you utilize things like wstLINK, the recently depricated Alpha Enhanced 2 vault, or similar for your $LINK?
LP pools? Or just spot hold whatever you couldn't get in before pool closed?

i accumulate as much $hype as possible, so i avoid "beta" plays
@NestExchange $nest are my biggest exception
my position prints $hype weekly, and i entered it just by providing liquidity, not buying $nest on the open market, which is the way to play this one imo

Having Do change his pfp to my meme right before Luna collapsed will forever be my top Web3 anecdote

You go weeks on end getting more and more used to ai content.
Art.
Writing.
Whatever.
And you slowly start thinking "okay, i guess its not too bad." or at least start hating it less, as you're just constantly inundated with it.
But then, you read just one article that was written with passion.
You see that one video edited with that human touch.
Or that one, perfectly imperfect picture that captures something you can't put into words; much less into a prompt.
And it all comes flooding back to you,
There will never be anything that resonates with us quite like creative and passionate content that comes from another human soul.
