Today, God will never forget Your work and labour of love. Everything You do to and for the least of His people, You do unto Him. He'll continue to intervene in Your affairs 24/7, fight Your spiritual and physical battles, and work in ways You cannot see, IN THE NAME Of JESUS CHRIST, AMEN (Hebrews 6:10). GOOD MORNING 😊

Tessy, Pls Help Me Share My Story. I Need Help
I am talking to a man who is legally married in the United States, and he has expressed a sincere desire to marry me as a second wife in accordance with his Islamic beliefs. He is a jurist and runs a law firm in the US. He also has other businesses in Nigeria and other African countries. Mind you, his wife is a lawyer too, and they run the law firm together.
I am a Christian and don't have a problem with being a second wife, but I have some fears. Before making such an important decision, I want to understand both the legal and practical implications.
Some of the questions I have are:
If he is already legally married in the US, can he legally marry me as a second wife? If we have a customary marriage, will it be legally recognised in the United States or Nigeria?
Would I have any legal rights similar to those of his first wife, such as rights relating to inheritance, property, financial support, healthcare decisions, immigration, or spousal benefits, especially for my children with him?
If our relationship ended, would I have any legal protection, or would I only have whatever rights are provided under our customary marriage agreement and the laws of the country where we marry?
If we had children together, what legal rights and protections would they have? Has anyone here ever been in a similar cross-border Muslim marriage? What challenges did you face, and what lessons would you be willing to share?
I respect Islamic beliefs on marriage, and I also want to make an informed decision from a legal perspective. My goal is not to interfere with anyone's existing marriage but to understand whether entering into such a marriage would leave me legally protected or vulnerable. I would especially appreciate responses from lawyers, people familiar with US and Nigerian family law, Islamic scholars who understand the legal aspects of marriage, or anyone with firsthand experience.

This woman shares the story of how she married her own father as his eighth wife. The man reportedly has 19 wives and over 180 children. And all this is based on the belief that marrying your father guarantees you a place in heaven or paradise. I honestly don't even know what to say. 😳

My friend confided in me that he’s having an affair with his wife’s younger sister, who lives with them. This younger sister we are talking about is only eighteen. I asked with a shaky voice, “What do you see in this small girl?” He proudly answered, “You call her a small girl? Just one short time with her and you’ll change your narrative about her. Do you know what she can do?”
I know his wife very well. She sees me as a friend. When I visit them, she makes sure I eat before I leave their house. On some holidays, we would buy a fowl or a goat, give it to her, and she would prepare a great soup for us.
I call her “Sweet Wife.”
It’s not empty praise I give her, like some friends who will say “our wife” and still help the husband to cheat.
What he said traumatised me. His explanation nearly made me throw up. I begged him in the name of God to stop doing that with his sister-in-law. I even asked if he wanted me to kneel and beg. He said, “Why are you behaving like a saint? I thought we were brothers. You’ve made me regret sharing this with you walahi.”
When we parted, I told myself I was going to withdraw from him, and I did just that. I gave him excuses whenever he called for us to meet. I would see his texts and ignore them. When I knew he was going to be somewhere, I changed my route to avoid him.
He called me.
“Are you avoiding me?”
I answered, “No, I’m not avoiding you, but someday, what you’re doing will come to light, and my name will blink under your name. I’m trying to prevent that.”
He said, “Oh, my guy, all this because of what I told you? What next are you going to do, tell my wife all my secrets?”
Again, I begged him to stop. “You shouldn’t have told me. In fact, you’ve worried me a lot. Just stop it.”
Now he’s the one cutting me off, which is fine with me, but I can’t get my mind off the fact that he’s doing it with his wife’s younger sister.
The girl looks so innocent that you wouldn’t think that of her. But she’s just a child. You can’t blame her that much.
I bumped into his wife recently, and she asked why she hadn’t seen me for a very long time. I said I was busy. I should have told her the truth. Then maybe my mind would have been at rest. She told me, “Come this weekend. I will cook your favourite.”
I couldn’t go because I can’t sit and watch her and her sister, knowing very well what’s going on in the dark. Is there a way to help my friend stop what he’s doing? He thinks he’s having fun, but a thirty-year-old man should learn not to have fun with flames.
I saw the video and I wonder what exactly is wrong with these people 🤔
