CARES Act could bring Financial Relief to Churches Amidst Bans on Large Gatherings johnlitzler.wordpress.com/20…
(Likely room w/ partitions that aren't floor to ceiling are all 1 room & if over 10 people are in such a room would it violate EO) If the church/Christian org. has staff or board more than 10, meetings should take place on conf. calls by phone or video communication platform.
(5) The EO addresses precautions for workplaces that remain open. This indicates that offices can remain open, provided you don't gather in groups of more than 10. This doesn't mean their can't be more than 10 people in the entire building, but no more than 10 people in a room.
(4) The EO does not differentiate between indoor or outdoor gatherings. (Some cities had distinguished between indoor and outdoor gatherings, and I know several churches had planned to gather outside with considerable distance between those in attendance)
Here's what you need to know:
(1) No social gatherings of larger than 10 people.
(2) Churches are not excluded from the EO.
(3) The EO is effective from from 3/20 to 4/3 with the possibility it could be extended.
(Previously some cities had mass gathering ordinances that included houses of worship, some exempted houses of worship, and some cities had no mass gathering ordinances at all.) I know some smaller congregations were planning to meet for worship this week in smaller groups.
