"The biggest thing about making money is time. You don't have to be particularly smart, you just have to be patient."

The companies with the highest dividend yields in the market currently.
Four out of the top five names are very illiquid. Hence, no price discovery to accurately reflect true dividend yields.
Therefore, in my books, GTCO is the coy with the highest dividend yield on the NGX.
It’s very important to not invest money you will need in a year’s time in the stock market if you don’t have an emergency fund
Also, putting in your rent money into the stock market is a bad decision 98% of the time
That’s what Treasury bills, money market funds, high interest savings are for
My friend Yemi put her ₦400k rent money into a stock in August. She said "I will sell in December and double it." In October, unfortunately the market dipped. Now her rent was due this month.
Due to what i dey always talk, That don't panick sell, now she want to leave it and borrow money from me. Unfortunately i no get money to borrow her.
She had to sell at a loss. 😔
The stock was not bad. Her timing was.
The market has no respect for your deadlines.
Before you invest, split your money:
Rent, school fees, emergencies: keep it safe and easy to reach
Money you won't touch for 3 to 5 years: that is what you invest
Invest only what you can afford to leave alone.
I really hope she has at least 2M saved up or invested
Dangcem rising as expected
The road to N1500
Dangote Refinery IPO has finally closed
No more extensions
Now we watch how it plays out from here
The game is the game
Solid outing from Fidson for Q3.
— Q3 revenue grew by 25.3%
— profit after tax grew by 106.2%, mainly due to reduction in finance cost.
— great outing overall, we expect more in Q4 before the big news comes in Q1 2027.

At ₦200k a month, investing ₦40,000 monthly in 18% roi with dividends reinvested, you could pass ₦100 million in about 22 years. At a 5% dividend yield, ₦100m could produce roughly ₦5m a yearly.
Dangote Cement with a solid q3 and 9 months report
Increasing revenue, profit, and eps (33% for nine months, it was 24.3% for H1 2026)
Well, share price has also increased, but will it increase more?
Quite likely. By how much? I don’t know

Gtco paid out about 16.8% of their earnings per share in 2023, 22% of their earnings per share in 2024, and 50.2% of their earnings per share in 2025.
Maintaining a total payout of N12.76 will mean paying somewhere around 58% of their eps for 2026, which should still be doable barring regulatory approval, so I don’t think there is cause for concern on that front.
