It’s bc in 10 years, the # of entitled, hateful, racist, inappropriate ass holes I’ve cared for FAR out-weigh the kind ones.
Case in point: I work nights in an ICU. My blood glucose was low (clearly I didn’t know or feel it dropping nor did I realize it was already low). I continued to work my shift until suddenly I kept forgetting what I was saying/doing, I was hot but cold while dripping sweat. I apologized and excused myself.

I worked the very next night. I went back into that patient’s room and apologized and explained in brief and vague terms that I’d had a medical emergency and was so sorry if I seemed out of it.
