The Pacers are closing with Nance Jr over Zubac. Just an embarrassingly bad trade.

The Pacers should call whoever they outbid for Zubac and see if they’re still interested.

It's very important to remember things may get worse, because they were doing everything to hide how shitty of a job they're doing.
Indiana gas tax suspension looks like it may end today- but with wholesale gas prices down sharply in the last week, retail prices are unlikely to rise the full ~60c/gal amount of the tax holiday, due to offsetting decline. they may rise 10-30c/gal instead if not extended.

This is one of the strangest interviews you'll ever see. I think anybody should be able to see what's going on here, but it'll make you wonder how these people can live with themselves.
here's the entirety of the seeming mental breakdown Haley Stevens just had on CNN. One of the most bizarre and incoherent political interviews I can recall. Note how she's completely unable to explain why she changed her mind from supporting Abdul El-Sayed last night to endorsing Mike Rogers today.

We might as well make it fun. Give Lance Stephenson a retirement game.

Dunking on Kuzma is so easy but “far left” is a term that makes me giggle. If Gavin Newsome is “far left” then who is the “regular left” and is anyone “far right” in their mind?
sadly, this is where we're at. a vote for the republican party isn't necessarily a vote for trump. some people vote for conservative values because they don't agree with the direction of the far left. reducing every voter to one man only feeds the division.

Idk how people fuck with this old bag of shit.
Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.

Vintage Brunson. The Pistons clamp him up.

At least we can all trust Adam Silver, an intelligent, forward-thinking leader of great virtue to solve any NBA problems if they exist.

I wonder how much of NBA training is about monitoring injuries and maintenance compared to returning to play and performance.

I think one day we’ll look at the NBA schedule like we look at WWF calendars in the 80s/90s or pitch counts from before the mid-2000s. It’s just not sustainable. We could have a much, much better product but we have to allow their mutual greed to ruin themselves and the league.

I keep seeing people ask what's the end game when companies no longer need most humans and unemployment explodes. Relying on UBI from our current system is naive beyond belief. It won't happen. The real answer is being a human becomes more like being a deer or a rabbit.
As Anthropic prepares to IPO for over $1 trillion, a reminder of Dario Amodei’s words shortly after founding the company: “Distributed human labor is being used to train AI models by large, centralized actors, who concentrate the resulting profits while in the long run making the human labor obsolete.” In other words, this IPO will be built off the backs of the world’s creatives - who will get nothing out of it except obsolescence. It is a totally unjust transfer of wealth and opportunity from artists, writers, musicians & other creatives to a tiny tech elite. I hope it is remembered as such. (this quote is from a document he wrote that was unsealed in Bartz v. Anthropic)

"Who would you rather have? Keaton Wagler?" YES. FUCKING YES. IN A HEARTBEAT ABSOLUTELY.
A simple view of how the top picks are producing in their first week in the league!

I appreciate the optimism of the Pacers fans. I truly do. That's just not how I'm wired. Allowing Myles to walk, trading a top-5 pick and Mathurin in a wasted season to replace Myles with a league-average big saved a lot of money but cost them another crack at a title.

It's early. The starters have been fine. If they can get healthier, they'll be much better. But this roster is missing pieces and they don't really have any mechanism to fill those holes. It's over and the window to keep this core together is shrinking.
