Quick theming has been added to DashDork. It's a Netvibes alternative RSS based homepage. Check it out for free #buildinpublic
I built a Netvibes alternative
I thought I was the last person on earth still using it so I built an alternative for myself. I saw a lot of other people looking to replace it with something similar so I’ve made it public at DashDork.com.
It’s an RSS widget style homepage which were popular years ago and I never understood why they didn’t catch on. Within a minute you can get all your important news headlines, etc and dig deeper from there for anything that interests you. For any NetVibes refugees it includes a feature that allows you to import your feeds via their OPML export.

In my quest to get my app off Heroku and onto a Hetzner VPS I've tried coolify, dokku, bare metal and finally went with @cap_rover. I was able to get my app running on a subdomain and hooked up to Postgres in half a day. It helps that Claude.ai is an expert at it.
Welp, looks like I'm in this for the long haul so time to move off of Heroku to a more economical solution @Hetzner_Online. This gives me a reason to brush up on containerized development and deployments too!
