Former Atlanta Braves owner Ted Turner is up for a spot in the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2027. He helped make the Braves known as “America’s Team” by bringing their games to national TV, and we’ll find out if he makes it on December 6.

Baseball was baseball in 2026. Hoping baseball can be baseball in 2027. If not, then baseball will be back to baseball in 2028. 🤞

FINAL/12: Rays 4, Brewers 3 Tampa Bay’s season looked like it was over after Cooper Pratt’s 12th-inning home run. Then the Rays fought back and walked off the Brewers with four straight hits. That was a damn good baseball game -- and a great win. The World Series continues.

I really love that one day, out of nowhere, the Rays kind of said “yeah so we’re actually just the Devil Rays now” and they’re so awesome that no one even questioned it.

Oh my God! Was working just found out about RJ I am heartbroken Though RJ didn’t play my TV son, I always looked out for him as a young kid on set. He was a sweetheart of a young man and will be greatly missed. This is so heartbreaking, I can’t believe it. Thinking of him and his family. 💔💔💔💔💔💔

Super Sky Point to Mike Ditka. I moved to Chicago in 2003, over a decade after “Da Coach” prowled the sidelines at Soldier Field for the final time. Yet his presence has always felt current. He arrived in 1961, a crew cut chunk of granite who hauled in a dozen touchdowns as a Pro Bowl rookie tight end. A quarter of a century later, he was carried off the field in glory at Super Bowl XX. Four decades later, his shadow casts large as ever over the banks of Lake Michigan as the only Bears head coach to ever hoist that precious Lombardi. He’s beloved in this town for many reasons. Because he always said what he meant and meant what he said - even if sometimes he shouldn’t have said it. Because he loved the common man. Because even when he was an asshole, he was OUR asshole. Walter Payton is the greatest Bear. Dick Butkus is the most violent. George Halas will always be Papa Bear. But no one, and I mean no one, better represents what it means to be a Chicago Bear, or a Chicago Bears fan, than Mike Fucking Ditka. St. Peter, grab a helmet, because today he’s young again. #RIP

Bruce Springsteen pays tribute to Glen Hansard: “Here on E Street, we are heartbroken over the death of Glen Hansard. We met in Ireland many years ago and he was always nothing but a great musician, a good friend and a generous and gracious man. Always positive, smiling and ready to sing. God bless him and his loved ones.” variety.com/2026/music/globa…
