India is starved of affordable, formal credit. There is a massive market opportunity to be tapped here that has been inhibited because the current rails for flow of capital to the untapped market are broken.

Amazing to see Patrick calling out how countries like India have led the world in use cases like payment links. Expect more fintech innovations from India to scale globally in this decade.
For context, 45 Million+ payment links were created on Razorpay in just the last month!

Today's OCEN session was great
If you're building a FinTech product in India - reading about OCEN ("UPI for Lending") is an absolute must
The discussion was about an impact on credit score as a result of using OCEN for cashflow lending.

Great paper! Reducing dependency on collateral and utilising big data dampens the financial accelerator mechanism. Also, uncollateralized financing based on real time cash flows and big data can play a key role in faster economic recovery of small businesses post COVID-19.
The first of probably many investigations into the embedded fintech lending thesis... does @antgroup's proprietary data give it signals that let it identify credit risk more accurately than banks?
