Sources: Cuban 🇨🇺 catcher Anthony Calderón (17) has agreed with the Atlanta Braves to sign during the current international signing period for a $350,000 bonus.
The deal is pending a physical.
Calderón has shown power, hitting ability, leadership behind the plate, defensive skills and arm strength.

The #Braves today exercised options for OF Ronald Acuña Jr. and INF Ozzie Albies for the 2027 season. Atlanta also reinstated RHPs Spencer Schwellenbach, Spencer Strider and Hurston Waldrep, as well as LHP Joey Wentz, from the 60-day injured list.
Wild Bill likely the World Series MVP.
Sean Murphy likely (hopefully) dealt this offseason.
One was a trade focal point.
One was a trade throw-in.
On this day in 1995, my dad was the assistant football coach for my town (in our county each town had a team) so I could play football 2 years before being old enough to.
He also paid me $1 for every “tackle” during the game. I was a professional at 3 years old 😂
On this day in 1995: World Series champs!

OTD in 1995, the @Braves would win their first World Series since relocating to Atlanta!
Thanks to a solo home run from David Justice and Tom Glavine’s 8 shutout innings, Atlanta would clinch the series in 6 games and bring home their 3rd title in franchise history! 👏

This stat from the Atlanta Braves is wild 👀
In 2025:
⚾ Baseball business → $51M income
🏙️ Mixed-use business → $68M income
The real estate+ businesses surrounding the Braves generated 34% MORE operating income than the baseball team itself.
I don’t understand some of these Braves & MLB personalities identifying specific players we need to sign from in free agency, as if contract & Luxury Tax structure is gonna be the same after the lockout.
Y’all do know a lockout is coming, right?
However long the lockout ends up going, just get a guy that you can stick at SS every day.
No, SS today, but was brought in to help the LF platoon.
No defense-only.
No SS by committee throughout the year.
Go get a SS to play SS.
In other words, he’ll be linked (as a DH) to the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, & Cubs.
Nothing will materialize and the Dodgers will end up trading for him.
The only way Bryce Harper would waive his no-trade clause is if the team who trades for him extends him past his current remaining contract of 5-years, per @Ken_Rosenthal
Harper is in the final 5-year stretch of a 13-year $330 million contract that ends in 2031. He’ll be 39 by then

Hey @MLB - wanna get more kids watching baseball?
Maybe start with the commercials.
Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here's the rundown:
- Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit
- The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen
- Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports
Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch.
You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas.
Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.
Judging by the replies to my agreement of the Miz balk from last night, a lot of people don’t know how to stand correctly in their day to day life, much less just take one step to the side.
If this describes you, practice this for me…
