Hot take: If we want people to support original movies like Wildwood, let’s get them excited and help fall in love with them instead of making audience feel guilty for not showing up. Seeing lots of creators yelling at audiences and trying to call them out.
Instead of calling audiences out, let’s share what makes this movie special and why it deserves a chance.
I’ll start: Wildwood is exactly the kind of original, imaginative storytelling we should be celebrating and encouraging people to experience. Get your tickets now and watch! You won’t regret it!
Hmm does this mean when you react and do your journalism it’s not genuine if you are covering it on the carpet or invited? I think this disrespects your colleagues. Maybe Cat in the Hat (A KIDS movie) is actually good and maybe don’t be shocked by it.
I’m genuinely shocked by all the positive reactions to The Cat in the Hat.
What’s sad is that I can’t tell how many of these reactions are genuine and how many have been influenced by it being a premiere or securing junket interviews.
Access is a real currency in this industry nowadays, and it’s made me ultimately question a lot of these reactions that up until the pandemic I would have taken at face value.
I hate that my first instinct has become skepticism but alas that’s what this has become.
‘THE CAT IN THE HAT’ is pure chaos in the best way possible. A wild, colorful, and hilarious ride that embraces its weirdness and brings a fresh spin to a classic we all know. This cat did NOT come to play.
