تعرضت امرأة تبلغ من العمر 21 عامًا للاغتصاب في باريراس، باهيا (البرازيل)، يوم الخميس 29 أكتوبر، حوالي الساعة 5:30 صباحًا أثناء سيرها إلى صالة الألعاب الرياضية. قام المعتدي، كاسيو دا سيلفا سانتوس، البالغ من العمر 27 عامًا، بالاقتراب منها من الخلف، و"لمسها" وأجبرها على مرافقته، متظاهرًا بأنهما زوجان، إلى حي "فيلا دي لوس فونسيوناريوس" حيث أخذها تحت شجرة لارتكاب الاعتداء. سجلت كاميرات المراقبة اللحظة الدقيقة للمضايقة وكيف تم إجبار الضحية بالتهديد بسلاح؛ وبعد الهجوم، تلقت الرعاية من خدمات الطوارئ ونُقلت إلى مستشفى الغرب. تم القبض على المشتبه به متلبساً بالجرم في صباح ذلك اليوم نفسه في حي سان بيدرو من قبل الشرطة العسكرية، التي عثرت في منزله على نفس الملابس التي كان يرتديها في الفيديو؛ وقد أثارت القضية غضباً في جميع أنحاء البرازيل، ولا يزال التحقيق مستمراً تحت إشراف الوفد الخاص المعني بشؤون المرأة.

I hate how our government has allowed the drug called online gambling to be so accessible. I hate how they are advertising EVERYWHERE and there’s no laws prohibiting it. It won’t make it go away but just like advertising cigarettes was banned, so should gambling 🤞🏽
