Good half that.
Limited Leeds to hardly any chances and importantly scored!
I still don't think we're creating enough, but this setup makes us a little more solid overall.
That was Mbeumo's 4th goal this season!
Iβve got Gomez on the bench π¬
Heβs very quietly been an excellent FPL asset π

I believe there are 2-3 DEFCON assets in a league of their own.
β’ Tarkowski and Muharemovic
β’ Vuskovic is also in this bracket if the DC numbers hold up!
I wanted to elaborate a little on what I think is the best way to fully utilise their potential:
Of course you will always play these guys in the βeasierβ fixtures, and rightly so.
But itβs often the slightly trickier fixtures which yield the greatest potential! And because weβre all so used to simply picking the best fixtures within our XI, these guys may often be benched in potentially great matchups.
Teams that might be harder to keep out, but the DEFCON chances are so high that a clean sheet can strike gold.
(Iβve touched on this idea previously but really wanted to encourage this way of thinking for certain assets)
Itβs the idea that a simple clean sheet with no attacking returns can yield up to 10-11 points (with bonus).
Now the chances of this are slim, but itβs a ticket to a fairly achievable lottery. Not only that, but on the occasion that they donβt hit these heights, thereβs still the excellent insurance policy of at least 3-4 points.
This isnβt including their substantial set piece threat either! Thatβs why these three are so elite (in my opinion), they all also have superb attacking threat in solid defences.
But DEFCON wise you have to be in the lottery to win it, and I like to target home games in particular.
I feel like the home games are often the more likely chance of a CS in trickier games and just in general slightly better prospects.
Now Iβm not saying this will pay off every time! There will even be a couple of 1 pointers in there.
But have trust in the overall strategy as I think the potential outweighs the downside with such great picks!
Iβll probably only bench these assets in games with around 15% CS odds or less. Even then I donβt mind playing them if need be!
This was a lengthy explanationβ¦ but I hope it was a somewhat useful insight into my way of thinking when it comes to these guys! π
Thing with Leeds is, no midweek
GW7 - Man Utd - midweek away trip to Madrid
GW8 - Sunderland - Thu away game in Poland
GW9 - Bournemouth - Villa in Carabao midweek (Leeds are out so again will rest)
After GW10 their fixtures are great anyway. All of this to say, welcome
If youβre looking for a cheap striker the two very obvious ones:
1οΈβ£ DCL
2οΈβ£ Barry
Both nailed on, 90 mins and good value π°

Barry owners were robbed today π
4 big chances missed.
13 big chances in 5 games by far the most in the league. 10 missed.
At his price this level of involvement is extraordinary. Should be great value for money
Start of every season: Everton defence looks to expensive
5 games in the top scoring defender: Tarkowski
Consistently an excellent defence π

They need to stop this nonsense now. Everton have just had a perfectly good goal disallowed by VAR. If you have any feel for the game, when you see the replay, you will struggle to find the offence. Said it before, will say it again: they are actively looking to disallow goals.
