Comey's attorney Pat Fitzgerald issues a new statement after he was charged again:
"For the third time in little more than one year, the Department of Justice has attempted to charge Mr. Comey with a federal crime. Mr. Comey steadfastly maintains his innocence.
In September 2025, the Department of Justice used a person who was not actually a United States Attorney to seek an Indictment that was not actually shown to the grand jury. And it charged Mr. Comey with crimes that he did not commit. That case was promptly and properly dismissed.
In April 2026, the Department of Justice filed charges in the Eastern District of North Carolina concerning Mr. Comey’s posting of a photograph of seashells spelling '8647.'"
We will not comment beyond our filings in that case.
This most recent case involves an October 5, 2016 New York Times article that two different teams of prosecutors investigated during the first Trump administration. Both times the Government determined that no charges should be brought against anyone. Now, ten years after the article was published, the Government filed an 'Information' against Mr. Comey that was not approved by a judge nor issued by a grand jury. It purports to charge Mr. Comey with crimes that he did not commit.
We are gratified that United States District Judge Trevor McFadden has ordered this matter unsealed. Mr. Comey will fight these charges vigorously and in the open."

Hey does anyone remember the last effective altruist/longtermist that investors trusted tens of billions of dollars to?
The layers of self-delusion required for grown adults to get behind this Anthropic deal are wild.
The *only* way Anthropic survives is if they make some sort of near-term technical breakthrough that suddenly makes Claude “superintelligent.”
Psst. That’s LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
LLMs are a commodity search product. You can run them on a laptop. They will get marginally better at mimicking the stuff in their training data over time. That’s it.
There is not even a good theoretical model for how it leaps beyond the training data—except in cases where there is an external verifier like Lean you can brute force solutions in a limited set of dimensions from the pieces left by humans.
Anthropic is now down to searching for Bigfoot—the notorious RSI.
Recursive self improvement is nonsense. There is no mechanism for “FOOM” “takeoff” or any of that other doomer lingo. It’s exactly like trying to create perpetual motion, or “free energy.” They will always be “80% of the way there” because there is no external verifier to tell it what it’s doing better. You can’t take humans out of the loop. The LLM is made of humans.
The company, and the entire chatbot industrial complex, is reliant on a religious conviction that has no scientific or logical rationale.
Anthropic is an extension of the Yudkowsky Rationalist/Effective Altruist doomer cult. It’s run by people who believe in their hearts that they are the chosen ones to raise the digital messiah from the chaos of humanity, and teach it not to kill us.
In short, they’re fucking nuts and so is anyone who invests in them. Anthropic is worth zero dollars.
Claude help us all if they go IPO.

Lula "We cannot have monstrously huge corporations earning millions & billions, paying no taxes to this country & trying to steer this country's election results."
So many countries have this problem and need to slay this beast.

On behalf of the government and the people of South Africa I congratulate my dear brother and friend, President @LulaOficial and the people of Brazil.
This victory will echo beyond the shores of Brazil. It is a victory for the global south and progressive forces throughout the world.
We affirm our commitment to continue strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries and working closely together in all multilateral fora to forge a just and better world order underpinned by solidarity and adherence to international law.

Elon Musk is dumping half a billion dollars into Republican races.
Why?
Because Democrats in Congress won’t be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump and will actually fight to lower costs.

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red.
Let’s break that down.
Can Nicki Minaj vote? No.
She’s not a U.S. citizen.
Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender.
Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault.
She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

Here's Young Bob using the P-word and claiming it's acceptable because it's an abbreviation of Pakistan. It's not.
The slur was widely used by far-right groups during the 1960s–80s, when racist attacks on South Asians were known as "P*ki-bashing".

Elon Musk's anti-woke Grok-fueled take on 'The Odyssey' gets called "zombie-like."
A critic for The Telegraph wrote that the footage — made with AI specialists Wonder Studios and director Dev Walker — is “so unsettling you can feel your eyeballs twitch at its sloppy gruesomeness … the glassy-eyed characters, with their expressionless voices, give the episode a zombie-like quality … Penelope looks completely different in each scene … a take on the tale of Troy that deserves to be put to the sword, burned to the ground and hidden forever beneath the sands of time.” bit.ly/47MhisO

BREAKING: A HUGE LEGAL VICTORY AGAINST TRUMP’S DOJ!
A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration's firing of prosecutor Maurene Comey was unlawful!
Comey, the daughter of James Comey, was also involved in the Epstein case. The Judge ruled that she is entitled to back pay/reinstatement.
The judge delivered a stunning warning, declaring that accepting the DOJ’s argument would threaten the very balance of power established by the Constitution.
Another major courtroom setback for Trump’s DOJ. The rule of law is fighting back!

SpaceX has effectively just lost the 🇮🇳 India market, which accounts for 20% of the world’s population, for good.
India represents a market 4.2 times the size of the 🇺🇸 United States.
To make matters worse, there is a growing resistance of allowing Starlink/Starshield services in many other parts of the world, where alternatives are already being developed like in 🇪🇺Europe or 🇨🇦 Canada to mention just two.
It is therefore likely that SpaceX will be unable to establish Starlink services across large parts of the globe. Worse, the same may hold true for SpaceX’s launch services and its data center offerings, whether on Earth or in orbit because its all about lost trust.
A significant volume of capital is now flowing toward other launch providers and start-ups, because what is at stake is national sovereignty, security, and the avoidance of dependence on the political views of a single individual: Elon Musk.
Elon Musk has failed to grasp that his actions regarding Starlink and Starshield in 🇺🇦 Ukraine have undermined global trust in all of SpaceX’s services and that will have a last impact on its business.
Once trust is lost, the business is lost as well. $SPCX
