Cutting NBA games to 40 minutes will do very little to solve injury issues. Teams will still play their best players 30-35 minutes. It's the bench guys who will see fewer minutes. Also, players still have to prep and warm up 82 times if the number of games stays the same.

Mikal Bridges with the Knicks in 37 playoff games: 14.5 PPG, 3 APG, 4 RPG & 1 steal on 50/35/85 shooting with fantastic defense & a bunch of clutch shots. I think I’ll keep the known playoff performer & deal with some regular season issues.
