Really? How did Messi's assist tally suddenly reach 428? In the MLS, they're even counting pre-assists as assists in some statistics.
Messi has done more harm to football debates than people want to admit. Every record now needs an explanation, every statistic needs a special definition, and the goalposts keep moving.
Football statistics should be about accuracy, not protecting someone's GOAT narrative. 😂😭

We all know the UEFA Nations League is a bigger trophy than the Copa América. The Nations League features more of Europe's elite national teams, making the competition more stacked with top-level football nations. Yet, people act like it's an inferior trophy simply because Cristiano Ronaldo won it. 😂

But because Cristiano Ronaldo has won it with Portugal, some people suddenly want to downplay its importance. 😭
This is what happens when the citizens know what they want and actually go for it without any form of compromise.
