(**JULY 2026 UPDATE**) In order to save anyone the hassle of asking me about it, I decided to cave and put together a quick explanation on the private drive I post about on here. ===CONTENTS OF THE DRIVE=== INSTALLS — Hundreds of various forms of installs that I've compiled over the years from both sides of the ball (Special Teams coming soon) that span from high school to NFL. COVERAGE LIBRARY — An organized library of installs and materials from the installs and other sources. This is a favorite of most people I get feedback from. ROUTE CONCEPT LIBRARY — An organized library of pass game installs and materials from the installs or other sources that I’ve organized by concept/family. This is still in progress and likely will be for a while, but it’s accessible anyway since there’s enough in there to justify it. FILM — Although it's not the main focus of the drive, there is a hefty amount of college and NFL film that is cycled in & out. These are downloadable so that they can be kept even after they're cycled out. CUTUPS — One of the most informative parts of this drive are these cutups that are labeled and organized in a way that allow them to be used for teach tape. These are currently focused on the Reid system since it's the offense I'm able to provide context and additional resources for. MANUALS — Along with some position manuals that span from HS to NFL level, all of the documents I put together and use as teaching tools are available within the drive. This includes the "Winning With Pre-Snap" manual and a wide variety of glossaries. OFFENSIVE SYSTEM — The last main piece to this is my personal system's pass game materials. There are hundreds of diagrams and a complete manual that provide context to everything included in this folder. My system is built on a Reid/Pederson west coast foundation with some modern flourishes. Basically, if you are interested in learning the specifics about any of the following, this is an excellent resource for it. — Pass game concepts — Coverage mechanics — Quarterback process (Pre- & Post-Snap) — Quarterback fundamentals (footwork, etc.) — Teaching the pass game — The Andy Reid offense — The Vic Fangio defense — West Coast offense — Baltimore defensive system — Coverage techniques — Route running — Creating & implementing a system — Scouting opponents — Evaluating talent For those who are interested in access, it's now $30 (via CashApp or Venmo) up front to help offset the storage costs and allow for constant new updates. Instead of a subscription model, this is just a one time thing and you'll get access for good. If you are outside of the US, just contact me to work something out because I know those aren't available to you. The main goal is to share information rather than gatekeeping it, so if you aren't in a position to contribute, just let me know and I'll make it work…no questions asked. I'm not going to shut anyone out of these resources and I'm happy to help anyone who may not be in a position to contribute right now. I've been in that position many times before and others were always helpful to me, so don't hesitate to ask. Anyone can either just send it to CashApp ($TheHonestNFL) or Venmo (@TheHonestNFL) with their Gmail included so I can set you up, or get in touch with me. Just requesting access to the folder itself isn't an option anymore for reasons that are out of my control, so you need to go through me to get it.

Exhibit #1
I asked Calvin Johnson the biggest difference in receivers now vs how he played. 1. Receivers get more flags. 2. Player health is prioritized. A really great explanation of how the game changed. Starting with flags for illegal contact, which he talked to Randy Moss about.

Big boy play by Porter all alone to the boundary while everyone else plays 8 Trix. Nice route distribution to the Trips side too.

This is really great run technique by the DTs. They’re closed away from HB in Gun and both execute perfect Gap + 1/2 technique — get hips & base anchored in the primary, lock the arms out and read the HB, then shed and finish.

From a strictly schematic perspective, I thought last night was the most competent the Eagles’ pass game has been over the past month. I still have some substantial issues with it, but the majority of those are just my subjective opinion. This is very similar to Deacon with the same intent of design — Deep Cross + Dagger with a mesh element and the RB on a Rail. It’s really effective because of how versatile it is.

Fangio is going to have to find a new way to play if they can’t affect the QB with their 4-man rush. What they did tonight just isn’t an acceptable performance for a unit with standards.

All things considered, I was very impressed by McCarthy’s performance. Not perfect, but I expect him to grade out well. He’s working with a lot of coaches who know how to teach the position and I expect him to keep growing into the system.

This is a nice free access alert to the out-breaker in rhythm and thrown to leverage. The read is the same as this.

Seeing McCarthy become a Stache merchant after a mere few weeks in the system just brings a tear to my eye.

This is about as well as you can throw a Circus route.

McCarthy made some ridiculous throws yesterday into incredibly small windows. This Bench route was one of them.

Nagy has brought the goods to the Apple. I love how Nabers is being used all over. That’s how you make a good receiver even more difficult to cover.
