South Carolina Must Put Taxpayers and Public Safety First in Corporate Deals. Period.

A second chemical spill this week at the Silfab Solar facility forced the closure of Flint Hill Elementary this morning. Until the public gets answers, Silfab should immediately shut down their operations. The safety of South Carolina families must come first.

Last night I enjoyed a great conversation with the @TPUSA students at The @Citadel1842 about protecting freedom of speech on South Carolina college campuses. As Attorney General, I have fought to make sure our universities remain places where ideas can be debated openly without fear of censorship or retaliation. As Governor, I will continue that fight and make certain our campuses respect the Constitution and the rights of every student. President Trump reminded this nation that free speech is the foundation of a free society, and I am proud to stand with the next generation of leaders who are committed to defending it.
