The bankers advising Anthropic are jackasses for letting this closed door, pre-roadshow analyst day happen
*I didn’t bother to correct it b/c it gave me time to appropriately adjust my portfolio to capitalize upon a future correction.*
Not even mad about it, but can we call a spade a spade?
Replying to @negligible_cap
There is near zero chance anybody on the finance team at OAI said $70 B was “net revenue.” This is shit reporting & CYA by @FT. I didn’t correct it bc it was so obviously end of year not current run rate. Pretty common knowledge had FT bothered to ask around. 🧐
Pretty cool what health systems are already doing…
My article in the Journal of the American Medical Association's Health Forum proposes a new regulatory model for clinical AI. 'Congress has the chance to advance clinical AI through a framework that carefully balances the need for local innovation and wider access' @AEI
The problem with catching falling knives on 'cheap valuation' or 'last cut'...
Mults can get cheaper. Numbers can go lower.
Lot of end mkts this year have derated materiarly. In context, are these stocks really that cheap? Do the fundamentals have to recover next year?
Goodluck & Godspeed $IHI
For all the newly minted healthcare (formerly semis bottleneck) investors looking for non-speculative AI beneficiaries?
My favorite is $A.
Agilent's CrossLabs segment (40% of revs) is a services business that designs, qualifies, and maintains the physical lab infra required for closed-loop autonomous labs.
Jefferies:
AI and autonomous labs. Management was notably bullish on the emergence of autonomous laboratories (including many lights out labs in China), creating what it views as one of the largest long-term growth opportunities.
The company's presence in >250K labs, automation capabilities (going back to the Velocity 11 acquisition), instrument portfolio breadth and multi-instrument service offerings provide a competitive advantage as customers automate existing facilities and drive higher sample throughput, consumable usage and workflow utilization.
Mgmt started talking up this business recently
GS: Agilent specifically is well positioned to benefit
from this trend given their expertise in lab automation in applied settings, where they help customers run “dark labs,” involving 50-100 Liquid or Gas Chromatographers (LC/GC) running 24/7 with no human intervention. We believe this know-how can be transferred to Pharma applications over the next 1-3 years, helping them capitalize on this trend as Pharma AI investment strategies are solidified.
