Historian and author Dan Jackson (@northumbriana) was among funders and supporters at our special viewing of Collingwood's Trafalgar Flag this morning. We've bought the flag and saved it for the UK but we're still fundraising to get it on permanent display at Discovery Museum.

We’re very proud of Julie Milne, Head of Art Galleries on being awarded the Special Recognition Award at the North East Culture Awards.
We’ve been working on this for the best part of a year. Today we can finally share our new name and brand!!
From today Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is known as North East Museums and we have a new visual identity to match.
We’ve been planning this for a while to better reflect our mission and commitments and the timing is perfect as we enter a new phase as an organisation. (1/3)
