Glad the internal processes are being reviewed though. Nothing more important than the internal processes.
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
The feeling when you have to request a community note on yourself because people don’t know how to read anymore
I sense a cringe corporate HR response on the horizon
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The attached image depicts a fabricated statement never posted by @DeadbyDaylight or the Dead by Daylight team. No such response about TheBurntPeanut or creator program changes has been issued.

My big balance recommendation with Art right now is that using a Toy on a Healthy survivor should inflict Torture as well.
You should be rewarded for using Toy's over M1ing.
This will also help with his pressure since he has no map control or mobility.
False Ban Reversed: @amerouus
Proof that if the primary appeal system fails but you have a strong enough case that reaching out on social media can work even if takes months.
Replying to @DeadbyDaylight
@DeadbyDaylight Recently Falsely Banned one of their own Creator Program members.
Because of reach he was quickly unbanned.
So please take another look at @amerouus ban
They have 8000 hours played without incident. (5k on Steam)

Hi, I’m not trying to accuse you of anything but what’s with all the strange harassment behavior of SpiritUpgrades?
He doesn’t even have Twitter.
Well, Mr. Spiritupgrades... You'd been one of the top 10 players
long before I even became one, yet I
still overtook you. The leaderboard says l'm #1 worldwide and every time you look at it you're reminded that you couldn't get there, while I did 👑 Someone send this to him, ty!
My community often asks how long it takes to make these videos.
My current video took 30 hours to create.
The one here probably took closer to 50 hours.
Basically it ain’t easy.
I’ve explained why BHVR is losing Licenses in the past and I would not be surprised if this is for the same reason.
We welcomed The Good Guy out of his box and into The Fog nearly three years ago, but it's now time for the Chucky Chapter to leave the shelf.
On November 24, 2026, the Chapter and its associated content will be removed from in-game and first-party stores. Any content unlocked before that date will remain available to use in-game.
To celebrate his time in The Fog, the content of the Chapter will be on sale on all platforms starting on Monday, October 26, giving you a chance to unlock the Character and Cosmetics before they leave the store.

Bro don’t let it end like this
Saw someone on Reddit make this edit of art for dbd omfg it looks so good @Behaviour please take notes
To be fair, I think DBD’s Creator Program borders on being unethical.
BHVR gets free DLC promotion, while creators get early access and a huge financial advantage over those outside the program. Which obviously creates an incentive to portray content more positively.
