I’ll say it. Golf is way too hard. It’s absurd playing a game that absolutely crushes your soul. What sport does this? The term “lay up” means it’s easy. That comes from basketball. In baseball they call it a “routine ground ball”. Golf doesn’t have routine anything.
In golf you hit one good shot and spend the next 17 holes wondering why you ever thought you knew what you were doing.
They need to make the hole 12 feet wide and be done with it… anyways. I have a tee time 930am tomorrow, 1046am on Saturday and 900am on Sunday.

Russell Henley has earned $50 million playing a professional sport in the 21st century and could still go grocery shopping without being recognized by a soul anywhere in North America outside of a couple of small towns in Georgia.

The last 20 seconds here are a good view into why Rory is one of the most unique (and human) superstar athletes of the last few decades. Very rare to be that great. Very unusual to be that vulnerable. There's nobody quite like him.

The Masters YouTube channel just dropped a 53-minute video of Rory giving shot-by-shot analysis of his final round last year.
It's just as amazing as it sounds.

Fred Couples (b. 1959) looks set to be the elder statesman in this year's Masters field.
He made his tournament debut in 1983 when Sam Snead (b. 1912) made his final appearance.
This year, Mason Howell (b. 2007) is scheduled to make his Masters debut.
Which means Couples will have competed against golfers born 95 years apart during his own Masters career.
This sport is the best.

Enjoyed chatting with @Maxhoma (who won't see this tweet), especially this part about how he treats himself and views his game:
"I give my iron play so much grace. If I have a bad day with the irons, I almost always am just like, ‘Well, that’s just a bad day.’ Whereas with other things, you get way more analytical and worry about it more..."
"I imagine there’s some toll just on anybody when they’re about to go out in public and they just don’t feel great about themselves. I don’t think that’s good for you."
Max Homa on battling chronic disease, his game, and why he’s hopeful for future.
