One of the most valuable things in life is food and water.
Amazing since it gets consumed quickly and if not it rots away into something disgusting.
From speculation: There are two ultimate ways to end up with immortality and they come with trade offs.
With the Devil you end up just slaving away until the end.
With God you have rules to follow.
Both end up struggling with food, because that is what keeps people alive/busy.
There has to be a continuation of Earth, except reverse, because then what the hell are we going to spend our time doing?
Just don't end up in the Second Death if you still want to have some "fun".
