Excellent performance from #ntfc. Scored two well-worked goals & could have had more, with Colchester rarely threatening. It's been a difficult start to the season under Chris Hogg, but that was very encouraging, and it was entertaining! Might have to have a beer to celebrate!

Cobblers really good for 30 mins, should have been 2-0 up, wasted their chances, conceded a soft goal from a corner, and that was more or less that... never really threatened an equaliser in the second half. Another frustrating Sixfields encounter! #ntfc

FT! Cobblers win 2-0! Finally an away league win in 2026. Deserved it after an excellent first half. Final 30+ minutes a non-event after Pruti's horrible injury #ntfc northamptonchron.co.uk/sport…

Robert Palmer died in the early hours of the morning on this day in 2003 at age 54 from a heart attack while on a short break in Paris with his partner, Mary Ambrose.
In my opinion, this is his greatest work.
So it's not to be for Northants as they miss out on promotion to the top flight, but it has still been a season of success and progress... #nccc
Huge improvement in the four-day game and, with a little bit of luck and a couple of things going their way (who said bad light?)...
The promotion dream is over...

And then of course, there was the first T20 Blast crown for 10 long years... a memorable season topped off with that magnificent Finals Day at Edgbaston, where David Willey's side just kept defying the odds!
Now the work starts to top it all in 2027! Roll on next simmer!
