Dear Frieren, You're the most boring show I've ever watched, and I still find myself coming back to you every time. The war's already over. The demon king is dead. The hero party already did the thing. And we're still here, walking with an elf who lived for hundreds of years and only started understanding what she lost after everyone was gone. She didn't even know how to miss them at first. She just kept going, and the years took people before she noticed they weren’t coming back. That's the part that stays with me. When we see Himmel again in those flashbacks, he's already dead, but he still feels like he's there. Same with Heiter and Eisen. They're gone, but the way they lived is still sitting with her. The show lets her sit with that for whole episodes. Sometimes they just walk. Sometimes they talk about nothing. And it still feels like something. I keep thinking about her standing in front of Himmel's statue and finally crying. Or meeting people who remember the hero party like it happened yesterday, while decades have already passed for her. Or the small thing where she starts keeping flowers because he liked them. None of it is loud. It just sits there. You taught me that nothing stays. People leave. Time doesn't wait for you to notice them. If you have someone, be with them while you still can. Don't save the good moments for later. Later doesn't always come. Live in a way you won't have to look back and wish you'd said something, or stayed a little longer, or paid attention when they were right in front of you. I don't know why a show where the characters barely do anything for long stretches feels this warm. I just know I keep coming back. Thank you for existing. @FRIEREN_PR #Frieren #葬送のフリーレン
