Meet my new 99-year-old car!
When the owner heard I wrote a series about a Model T expedition, she said I was “exactly the person who needed to own this” & sold it on the spot.
Here’s to a keeping the spirit of adventure alive in another century!

Today feels like what it was like to be a Rays fan during the end of the Joe Maddon era.
The Lightning were supposed to be different.
Guentzel may be 4 years younger, but he signed for 3 years longer, at a million more (and Stamkos was offering a discount beyond even that).
I’m livid.
And before anyone says, “Stamkos got 8 million, we couldn’t pay that!!!” You have no idea what his ask was to stay in Tampa. And they were willing to pay Jake Guentzel, an outsider to the team culture, 9 million, so…..
Yeah, I’m mad.
If Stamkos is allowed to walk away, especially after clearing space by trading away a player who could’ve been a significant piece for the future, that’s a tough one to be OK with. Fans have dealt with a lot of salary cap sacrifices. Your captain shouldn’t be one of them.
Me, this offseason:
“Oh wow, my McDonagh jersey is valid again!”
Also me, this offseason:
“I own two Sergachev jerseys.”
At any rate, *very* tough to see a future anchor of the blue line go, but probably not as painful as it would be to see Stamkos in another sweater.

A book blogger LOVED my book, SAVING ANDIAMO, and chose to highlight it for all her followers!
I adore this video she made, capturing the spirit and romance of adventure, travel, and the 1920s.
It’s the coolest thing ever to see so many strangers enjoying my book!
