There’s a Shroud of Turin replica, in Moscow.
Very cool, because very few exist. While an official count is unavailable, estimates range from 40 - 100.
- St. Clement's Church
- Храм Священномученика Климента
- Pyatnitskaya Street, 26с1
- Tretyakovskaya Metro station
4 photos, and 4 things I learned:
1️⃣ Moscow is “actually very small,” and “one can find out anything, quickly and easily, in minutes”
2️⃣ homegrown dacha fruits are given as thank you gifts. This was from helping a woman with Metro navigation
3️⃣ not as much age-segregation here; I see everywhere young people, hanging out with older people
4️⃣ the first thing natives want to teach me is swear words 🤭
Здравствуйте, я выгляжу как прямоугольник здесь. Губка Боб Кери. Так, давай учусь имена для формы.
Формы - Shapes
🖱️- Прямоугольник
⭕️ - Круг
🟧 - Квадрат
🥚 - Овал
🔺- Треугольник
🧊 - Куб
So, in 2022, companies pulled their products, and shut down their stores, because “sanctions.”
But have continued to pay rent, on the buildings the products were sold from?
Makes no sense?
If looking to leave after the midterms drama, here’s how to move to Russia:
1 - see Visa details in graphic
2 - looks good? Contact @MoveToRussiaCom
3 - follow their instructions
The end. It’s that easy.
And now you have choice.
Spent the morning on my other account. Now I am caught up on the midterms, and other happenings in Canada (junior hockey players banned, but NHL guys allowed 🙄)
So glad to be physically away from it all. It’s fun to monitor (most exciting time to be alive, in a thousand years) but, monitor from afar. Example, it’s been 6+ months since I had to hear to a TDS meltdown (very common.)
Little things like this, are why I keep saying, “life is easier here.”
Love how unaffected you Russians always are.
Have a great Unity Day, guys! Hope you laugh a lot.
So, truth about 404 is coming out. Great.
Now could be a good time, for big accounts to circulate this video 👇
Early 2022. Remember this? Probably, because it was so haunting.
*Health Insurance for Temporary Residents*
What to know:
OMS - Mandatary Health Insurance. Basically: apply for entry into the state system, for free healthcare.
Take this list 👇 to your local OMS office:
> passport
> notarized version of passport
> SNILS number
> Visa
Upon completing registration (12 minutes, sign two forms) you will be handed a printout, and from that moment, have coverage. Then ~5 days later, the finalized document will arrive in your email.
Next step - take this OMS policy number, and go register at a specific polyclinic near your home. See photo for list of provided services.
*Visitors to Russia*
You must prove medical insurance.
How to do that 👇

Must prove *Medical Insurance* to enter Russia.
I used Attola Assistance. Takes 5 minutes.
- provide dates of travel
- choose if exercising or not (~doubles the price)
- pay with your western credit card
- certificate arrives in 30 minutes
- print and bring to border
Total cost - ₽5,700 RUB - $93 CDN
(I chose yes, exercise)

Доброе утро ребята)
Счастливый для другой неделе где я наблюдаю безумный мир, из спокойнее России.
Имеет хороший один 😃
Visited a little land, inside the big city:
> Novodevichy Convent
> Новоде́вичий монасты́рь
Nickname, “Moscow Kremlin in miniature.” Мне нравится этот тихий и спокойный место. The style is called “Moscow Baroque’ but to me, feels like being inside a fancy cake 🎂 preserved from the 1680s.
Once used to defend Moscow, then a convent, then a museum and apartments, then full circle to a convent.
Had a great time with my tour guide Elizaveta @kgb_agent_001 who should be followed for her cleverness, and excellent amount of snark 👍
Happy to be spending Halloween, in a place that also doesn’t like Halloween.
Never understood glorifying a hell realm.
While learning how word endings changes, “I wonder if the Russians use this as a way to identify adversaries, operating inside the country…”
Because while it’s easy for me, a foreigner, to use the wrong ending on an adjective, a native speaker would never.
Therefore, end an adjective with “ий” instead of “ем,” and their cover is blown. And if said while leaning against a wall? Forget it, it’s over.
Russian Trolling is Next Level 🤭
A story I just learned:
> US does not recognize Donetsk as an independent country
> here is US Embassy in Moscow
> beside it, an unnamed square
> June 2022, Moscow says, “square needs name”
> new name = Donetsk People's Republic Square
> Embassy has new address now
Look how colourful Moscow is at night.
Because I use the Metro to move around, I rarely see this perspective.
I saw it all at yesterday’s visit to Patriot Park, including the 1418 дорога памяти музей.
My tour guide was 5 stars; excellent English, educated, and unaffected by my endless questions.
Didn’t take many pics or videos, instead, just took it in, and with watery eyes for the first third. Rows and rows of faces, the database 😢
(Sidenote - fascinating to me: how you guys moved factories across the country, what?! Entire factories, “nah, this goes here now, 3,000 kilometres to the right.”)
By the day’s end, just like a few weeks ago, when I spent the day at the art museum, “omg my mind is fried” I got the same reply, “it’s supposed to be, Keri.”
😂 you Russians, love your directness.
